Chris pondered for a moment before saying, "The quality of jade largely hinges on its type and translucency. Your bracelets, for instance, are from the old mine type, and the water content is quite decent."
"That's right, my friend said this is old mine jade," Julia nodded, looking at him in surprise. "I didn't expect you to be such an expert, spotting it from so far away."
"Heh," Chris chuckled, not responding directly but continuing, "The jade from the old mine has very fine jadeite grains, making it nearly impossible to see the 'jade nature' with the n***d eye. Truly top-grade or ultimate-grade old mine jade appears semi-transparent under light."
"The bracelet you gave your grandmother, however, doesn't quite reach that level. At best, it's mid-grade."
