Liora’s POV
“Planning what?” Trisha asked as she stepped closer.
I exhaled slowly, my gaze drifting down to Aurora.
If not for her… I already knew what I would have done to Trisha to set her mind straight.
“Who is Jace to you?” I asked, lifting my eyes to meet hers, my tone quiet but edged with steel.
“Jace is my brother… I’ve told you that before,” she replied smoothly.
“Your brother?” I repeated, a faint lift of my brow. “Then how do you explain him saying your mother died two years ago?”
For the briefest moment, her confidence wavered.
She turned sharply to Jace. “Our mother isn’t dead… you must have forgotten,” she said tightly, before facing me again with a composed smile. “Ma’am, I apologize. He suffers from memory loss.”
“Oh, really,” I murmured, nodding faintly
