" Why should I give up what already belongs to me"

Julia scoffed, her cold gaze clashed with the fury in Nelson's eyes without wavering.

" Or are you disappointed I got the role after you all deliberately lied to me about the timing"

Nelson was stupefied, Julia had never dared to talk back at him, she had always accepted everything he said with a gentle nod, why did it feel like the girl standing in front of him had changed entirely, her warm eyes that always gazed at him with love and adoration was now replaced with coldness.

" Julia.. it's not the way you think at all "

This time around, Rosy slowly stepped forward, her puffy eyes indicated that she had been crying all through the night.

" Sis... I have no idea what you're talking about, after my audition, I got so excited when the judges said I had a high chance of securing the role...but when I was informed last night that you had gotten it, I couldn't stop myself from feeling like a failure"

At once, Rosy knelt before Julia, her head hanging low as her shoulder shook with sobs.

" Sis.. please, can you..let me have the role, I promise... I'll do everything to make it up to you"

Julia's lips curved into a smirk.

" Really? Since you promised you would do anything, pack your things and leave the Quinn residence, Go back to your biological parents in the countryside!!"

Rosy wavered, her eyes filled with disbelief.

Hearing these words, Glenda and Edward could no longer contain their fury.

" How dare you say such vicious words! Even after stealing Rosy's role, you're still trying to kick her out of her home, Julia! You're a monster!!"

Glenda hollered furiously.

" If you don't return the role to Rosy, you'll be the one leaving"

Edward declared.

The corner of Rosy's lips lifted into a smug grin, Julia was penniless, there was no way she would agree to move out.

Julia was Edward and Glenda's biological daughter. Still, due to a mistake in the hospital, she was taken home by Rosy's parents and raised in the countryside while Rosy grew up as Quinn's family's heiress.

When the truth was revealed when they turned fifteen, Julia was brought back to the Quinn's residence but Edward and Glenda could no longer bear to part with Rosy.

Back then, Julia still naively trusted Rosy and she would often do everything she said, unknown to her, Rosy's schemes only made her parents hate Julia the more, even till now, the Quinns wouldn't bear to announce Julia as their biological daughter, they only treated her like an eyesore, all their love and affection was shown towards Rosy.

Julia let out a chuckle as she watched her parents choose to protect an outsider, by the time they realized Rosy's true intentions, it would be too late, she no longer craved their love and affection anymore, everything had become meaningless to her, As for Rosy and Nelson, she would make them regret every single thing they did to her.

" Fine! I'll move out"

" You ..you.

Rosy stuttered.

" Julia, if you're thinking about moving in with me, I can't accommodate you right now "

Nelson said hastily.

" Who said anything about moving in with you?"

Julia smirked.

" Julia! Quit acting high and mighty!!, we all know you won't survive on your own, let's settle this amicably, you don't even need the role in the first place, once you get married to Nelson, you can no longer remain in the entertainment industry so it's pointless"

Glenda berated.

" Whether it's pointless or not, it's up to me to decide and I've made my choice, I'm keeping the role "

Julia entered her room, compared to the rest of the house, it was poorly furnished, even most of the clothes she owned were Rosy's hand-downs, it didn't take long before she packed everything she owned into a small suitcase.

Then she removed her phone and dialed Alexander's number, it continued to ring without getting answered, and just when Julia thought he wouldn't pick up, Alexander's deep baritone greeted her ears.

" Sorry for not answering earlier, I was in a meeting"

" Oh! I'm sorry for bothering you "

Julia apologized hastily.

" It's fine, you're not bothering me, is there anything wrong"

Julia bit her lips nervously.

" Um.. not really, the thing is that I..um, can I move in earlier than we planned, something came up, and I...

" I'll send someone to pick you up"

Before Julia could even tell him her address, Alexander had ended the call.

As she dragged her suitcase into the living room, they finally realized she was serious about moving out.

Nelson coaxed gently as he tried to pry the suitcase away from Julia's hands.

Julia's hands tightened on the suitcase, she had been so blind to see Nelson's devotion towards Rosy in the past but now, she could see through his lies and deceit.

" Nelson, judging from the way you're so worried about Rosy, one would think she was your fiancee instead of me"

Julia watched the change of expression on Rosy and Nelson's faces, their eyes widened in shock before hastily composing their features.

" Julia, don't be ridiculous, how could you even have such thoughts, I was only worried about Rosy, you know she has a weak heart and she shouldn't get agitated"

Nelson gritted his teeth, forcing out a smile.

She had only wanted to confirm if Nelson and Rosy had begun dating at this time and she already knew the answer, now all she needed was to gather evidence of the two of them cheating.

" Of course, I trust you, the only thing you feel towards her is pity"

" Sis.. I still can't bear to watch you suffer on your own...I can help you talk to a friend of mine, she can let you stay for a few days "

Rosy sighed, playing the role of a concerned sister.

" Rosy, even after everything she's done, you're still being thoughtful towards her, let her leave, once she steps out of this door, I'll no longer recognize her as my daughter, even if she comes back to grovel, I won't accept her back!"

Edward said sharply.

" But dad.. that's too extreme "

Rosy said as she tried to hide the triumphant grin on her face, this was what she always wanted, for Julia to leave the Quinn residence for her.

" It's not extreme, finding out that she's my daughter had always been my greatest regret, even though you didn't come out of my womb, you'll always be my only daughter, the Quinn family's greatest treasure "

Glenda said as she patted Rosy's head.

Hearing these words, Julia remained unruffled, back then, when she lost her sight and hearing, the Quinn family had immediately disowned her, this time, it was only happening earlier than before.

Facing Edward and Glenda, Julia pointed at them.

" I hope you all will remember the words you said today, even if you come to beg me, I'll never be a part of the Quinn family, from now on, we are total strangers"

The words were spoken with such strong conviction that it made them start to question their decision, however, they shook off their thoughts as they watched her drag the suitcase out of the house, there was no way Julia would survive on her own without the support of the Quinn family.

Julia would soon be back to grovel.

However, barely a minute later, one of the guards rushed in with a flushed face.

" Outside, just now, two luxury cars stopped in front of the house, their plate number resembled that of the Wright family, they addressed Julia as Madame and she... she entered the car with them"

The guards announced breathlessly.

Hearing this, their jaws dropped in shock.
