CHAPTER 1

Nyx is walking alone in the middle of the
forest while raining hard, she has no umbrella and her cellphone doesn't have any batteries left. Lucky her isn't she? Note the sarcasm.
She stopped at a dark mansion with a dark
and tall wooden door, it's kinda scary though
but she has no choice or she'll die in coldness
She knock three times but no one answered.
She knew that there's a person or people
inside because the light at the top floor is open.
Maybe it's a ghost? She thought.
She look at the side of the wooden door and notice that there's a doorbell so she rang it.
Luckily, after a minute the door opens but she can't see his or her face because it's too dark.
"Hi, c-can I sleep-"
"No" then the person bang the door close.
What a rude person!
She didn't stop ringing the door bell until the
person opened the door again.
"Please just for tonight" she pleaded.
"I said no" the person or the man rather, because of his baritone voice, was aboutto bang the door close again but her hands blocked it so the edge of the door hits her wrist.
It hurts
"Please, just for tonight Mister. Promise Ill
leave tomorrow morning"
The man groaned "f*****g fine" he opened the door wider.
It's bad to cuss. Gosh this man.
"Thank you" Nyx went inside the dark room.
"U-uhm, don't you have any lights?"
She heard a 'click' sound and just an instant
the dark room filled with lights. She faced the man and her eyes widened when she saw how handsome and tall he is. His hair is messy that added to his hotness.His amber brown eyes that are dead can attracts any women he passed by.
What a lucky creature of God.
His gaze went down to her blouse and his eyeswidened when he saw her visible black bra. He let out a fake cough and looked away
"U-uhm do you have any extra clothes?" She asked.
The man walk passed her "Follow me" he walk towards the stairs.
She gladly followed him upstairs and when they reach the second floor, the man turned left and they stopped at a wooden luxurious door.
He opens it "Stay here. I'l get some clothes"then he leave her there alone.
"And charger please. Thank you!" she shouted.
She went inside the cozy room and sat at the soft mattress of the bed while waiting for him and after a minute he came back with a towel,wide shirt, sweat pants and charger.
"Here. There's a bathroom there" he pointed
the door.
She nodded "Thank-" he cut her off by closing the door.
"He's kind even though he's masungit and he didn't even smile" she whispered and went inside the bathroom.
She took a hot shower to take away the coldness then wore the shirt and sweat pants he gave he
There's no underwear though. But it's okay, I don't have that big breasts anyway.
The clothes are big but she's comfortable with it and the sweat pants is adjustable because you can tie it so that it will not fall. She put her uniform inside the washing machine to wash It.
She charged her phone before going to bed and tried her best to sleep but her stomach needs food. She stood up and saw her wrist. It's kinda bleeding so she panicked. It happened earlier at the door.
"Okay, I'm not gonna die right? -it's just a small simple scratched" she tried to calm herself.
She went outside the door and downstairs. She look at the right side and there she saw the kitchen. She went towards the kitchen and she bump someone. She quickly hide her hands at the back.
"Hi, Tm just gonna get a-" her stomach suddenly grumble. "drink"
"Tsk" he went back inside the kitchen so she followed him. She sat at the high chair while he's heating something at the microwave.
She get excited when she heard the 'Ting' sound that came from the microwave. The man put the plate that has a club sandwich infront of her.
"thank you" she smiled and was about to get the sandwich with both of her hands but he stopped her.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" He look at her wrist, bleeding "you might get an infection. Tsk" he wash his hands, get the med kit under the cabinet and sat beside her.
He out some alcohol on his hands. He get the antibiotic ointment and put a little bit on his index finger and was about to apply it on her wound when she suddenly take her hand back.
"I-it's okay" she said softly.
"Give it to me" he said calmly.
"No, i-it's really okay"
"Give it to me or I'll kick you right now out of the house?" he asked calmly but he sounded scary.
"Please don't put alcohol in it"
"I won't. Just give me your wrist" she put her wrist under the table infront of him.
"By the way, do you have any allergies to antibiotic ointments?" He asked.
"None"
He nodded and apply an antibiotic ointment
carefully on her wound then he cover it with a
bandage.
"You can eat now"
"Thank-"she was about to say 'thank you'
when he leave the kitchen "-you"
......And she pick up the club sandwich and starts to eat it. After eating, she washed the plates carefully, not to wet her wound and went upstairs to her room. She tried to sleep
but every time the lightning struck, she flinched. She's scared of lightning and thunder.
Mas lalo siyang natakot ng biglang nawalan ng ilaw. Hindi rin gumagana ang cellphone niya dahil low bat. Ang ginawa niya ay kinoberan niya ang sarili ng kumot habang nanginginig sa takot.
Mas lalo naman siyang nanginig sa takot nang narining niyang bumukas ang pinto at yabag ng mga paa na papunta sa kaniyang kama.
Ipinikit niya ng mariin ang kaniyang mata ng naramdaman niyang nasa gilid na ito ng kama.
Bigla nalang tinanggal ng tao or multo ung kumot kaya napasigaw siya.
"Hey, it's me"
Binuksan niya ang kaniyang mga mata at nakita ang lalaki na may hawak-hawak sa flashlight. Umupo siya habang hinihingal.
"I-i c-can't breath" nahihirapang sambit ni Nyx
habang sapo-sapo ang dibdib.
"What? You have an asthma?"
She nod.
"f**k. Where's your inhaler?" He calmly asked.
"N-na kali-mutan ko"
"s**t, just sit up straight" hinawakan niya ang paa ni Nyx at ibinaba sa kama.
"Stay here. I go get some paper bag" iniwan niya ang flashlight at ginamit nalang ang ilaw sa kaniyang cellphone saka agad na kinuha ang paper bag sa kusina. Tumakbo siya papunta sa kwarto ni Nyx at naupo sa tabi nito.
Pinunta niya ang paper bag sa bunganga nito.
"Don't cry" he said.
"Inhale"
Nyx inhale.
"Exhale"
Nyx exhale.
"Just keep inhaling and exhaling"
She followed what the man said then after how many minutes she calm down.
The man let out a heavy sigh. "Dapat lagi mong dala ang inhaler mo"
Tumango si Nyx habang pinupunasan ang
luha. Nakahinga siyang maluwag ng bumalik
na ang ilaw.
"Okay na ako. Thanks" she flinched when she
heard the lightning.
"Are you scared of lightning?"
She nod.
The man sigh and lay down at the other side of the bed.
"Sleep" he closed his eyes.
She also lay down beside him but not too close to him.
This is the first time I sleep beside a man except for my dad
She look at him
"sleep" he said.
She quickly look away.
"May I know your name mister? By the way
I'm Nyx"
"V" he plainly said. She just pouted and closed
her eyes trying to sleep. In just a minute he heard her snore. He froze when she rolled and snuggled near to him.
"f**k. Why in the world Im getting hard?f**k you self" he murmured.

NYX woke up without V beside her. She sat and look around, finding the clock. It's 8:46AM. She quickly took a shower and get the clothes in the washing machine and it's now dry. She wore it and get her cellphone that is now fully charged. She open it and saw many messages and missed calls.
She went outside, downstairs and she found V cooking at the kitchen. She look at his wide shoulders.
"Uhm excuse me po. Thank you for letting me stay last night. I appreciate it. Uhm.-"
He cut him off.
"It's still raining hard" he didn't even look at her.
"What?" She look outside the window "Oh crap!"
Why didn't I notice it?
"Just tell me where can I ride a bus? Or taxi maybe?"
He turn around to face her.
"You might get struck by a lightning and people are scared to go outside. There's a storm and it will probably end three days from now"
"You're joking right?"
"Do I look like I'm joking to you?"
She let out a sigh "Fine" then went upstairs to change her clothes again.
