CHAPTER6

I woke up to angry texts from Mike which had been send the previous night .

fortunately after the call with the doctor had eaten and slept immediately .

as predicted he had fired me but i did not have it in m to care. If the man did not send money, i would find a club to strip for and life would move on .

i went to shower to go to my first job but the constant pinging of my phone pushed me back to my bedroom .

it was a new number ,for a minute i wanted to ignore it .

my father's loan sharks tended to call me all the time so i had learnt not to pick any strange numbers but the urge to hear whatever the caller had to say made me answer it .

" Cant reply my calls on time now ?" the deep baritone voice on the other end inquired

i wanted to ask who they were but it clicked immediately that was the man from the club .

"Iam sorry ,i was in the shower '.

"i have trnasfred the money ,get ready to meet me on friday ,and dont even think of running i can trace you anywhere in this world " he replied before ending the call.

that was it i was 750k richer .

no one in my family had ever touched that amount of money and the chances of the earth submerging were higher than theirs of doing so .

i was the richest person in my whole bloodline , i wanted to cry .

the bank message popped on my notification bar and for minute i wanted to cry .

that man genuinely send the money .

my red bottoms and red lingerie brought that .i couldn't even think of any scenario in my life where i had touched that but as they say the heart is never content .i wanted more and i was going to get it .

if it meant selling myself then i would do it ,at the end of the end we all sold parts of ourselves for survival and that was perhaps the beauty or even ugliness of this life .

with my body still wet stark naked in my dingy room i opened my bank app to check and right there was the money all mine .

i let out a loud laugh ,maybe i was really going crazy but i couldn't believe it ,hell i did not have to go to that job ,even staying in this damn house felt so low.

i quickly searched for flights to Alaska as i packed whatever i could take with me .

fortunately i found a flight and soon i was outside the house .

it had been my home for years but not anymore . another poor person would live there as they figured their lives maybe and the good luck that befell me would find them .

through out the flight the thoughts of the man clouded my mind ,what was his name and most importantly what kind of things was he in to .

i never considered myself a vanilla girl but too much responsibilities had interrupted my s*x life , so this was my chance to revive it .

i only prayed that he was open minded and would let me be free with him because even if he was payng i was not going to allow myself to engage in wack s*x .

after hours we landed and i hailed a cab directly to the hospital .

" can i see a patient named Summer Marie Cooper ?" i inquired as i tapped the wooden counter nervously .

despite everything i hated seeing anyone i loved in pain and this was one of those situations .

" pay up the bill first or you think we run a charity here ",the plump lady behind the counter sneered as she popped a gum loudly .

if i wasn't nervous i could have swung at her ,i hated rude people and she of all people needed to be humble .

" how much is the bill ?" i inquired not in the mood for back and forth ,i just wanted to see the baby .

"57k ,but i don't think you can afford that ,you are already malnourished "

i ignored her entirely as i focused on the figures Hailey had said. It was 150 k. Was she really trying to con me out of money that i had never touched ,se was just like her father ,guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree at all .

i transferred the money without any question but overly mad at my family .

once the transaction was complete the ladies mood changed quickly and even pretended to be nice .

" she is in ward 7B ,i can take you there if you need me to ma'am "

some one would think the weirdo was niceperson but having dealt wit many people i brushed her off as i set off in the said ward .

Summer laid in the hospital bed clearly bored ut the moment she saw me her eyes lit up immediately .

"Maddie you came ",she croaked clearly tired or even dehydrated .

I picked the glass on her bedside and refilled it with water before janding it to her .

despite the accident she looked pretty good and strong .

thats one thing all our family members possessed i guess the hardships hardened us .

i held her hand fearing that if i treied embracing her she owuld be hurt .

"im really sorry ,i told Hailey to trasfer me to a cheaper hospital but she refused ".

" Dont worry about that i have ot you covered and you dont need to worry baout money now okay "

" no need to worry about money you say ", the voice of someone that i loathed so much interrupted us .
