The Alpha rushed out of his house with the another man following behind. I quirked an eyebrow and Cedric scowled a bit. Rita looked worried. The two men rushed by without as much as a look to us.
"Dad." Rita stood up, calling to the man who ran with the Alpha. "What's going on?"
"Emergency," was his short reply.
"You two." He nodded to the men who were still on guard and never took their eyes away from us. "Stay on guard."
They nodded. We saw some wolves quickly stand at alert and take off after the Alpha and Beta out of the swamp. Some men came out of their respective homes and followed.
"Wow," Cedric muttered towards Rita. " Do you always get this kind of action and excitement around here?"
