Kelly's POV By the time I got home, my body still hadn’t caught up with the fact that the day was over. My keys landed in the bowl by the door with a soft clatter, and I stood there for a moment longer than necessary, shoes still on, bag sliding slowly off my shoulder. My studio apartment was quiet in that familiar way that is safe, and contained, but my head was anything but. The events that took place in Michael’s office kept replaying itself in fragments in my head. The sound of the lock when he had closed the office door.
