Kelly’s POV I unlocked the door to my studio apartment, and the familiar scent of faintly stale coffee and old carpet hit me like a wave. As usual, the space was small, my bed against the far wall, a narrow kitchen counter with a single-burner stove, and my desk shoved into the corner beside a window that never seemed to let in enough sunlight.
