📖 THE SILENT BRIDE
Episode 8: Jason’s Journal
By Mira Bless 👑
---
📓 Scene 1: The First Entry
Detective Rena sits in her office. The journal retrieved from the wall trembles in her hands — not with fear, but memory. The first few pages are blank… burned. But then she finds a fold in the spine. Hidden inside: a second, thinner journal.
The first page reads in childlike writing:
> “I didn't want her to die. I just wanted her to stop singing.”
— Jason, age 7
---
🔥 Scene 2: The Burning Bride
Through Jason’s journal, we see the true origin of the Silent Bride:
Jason was raised in the mansion, isolated by a mother who feared he was “born with something dark.”
He had an imaginary friend named Eliza, who wore a white bridal dress.
> “She told me secrets the adults didn’t know.
She said I was special.
She said Mama was afraid of us.”
Eliza would sing to him through the mirror at night.
But one day, Jason stopped hearing her.
> “Mama burned the mirror. She said Eliza was a sin.”
That night, his mother was found in flames, screaming “The bride has returned!”
---
👰♀️ Scene 3: Mirror Possession
Jason, now age 10, wrote less. His entries became erratic. But there was a pattern:
Every full moon, he’d wake with bloody hands.
Every time a mirror was covered, he’d get feverish.
When alone, he would talk to Eliza, even as a teen.
> “She wants to wear someone new now.
She said if I loved her, I’d find her a better skin.”
---
💔 Scene 4: Amara Wasn’t the First
In a torn page hidden at the back, Rena finds drawings. Six brides. All faceless.
Underneath each: initials and dates.
The dates go back 15 years — long before Amara and Maya.
She calls a friend in forensics.
Two hours later, she gets the result:
> “Rena… four girls listed as missing from orphanages.
All within walking distance of Jason’s old school.”
Jason had been practicing.
Amara was just the one who survived.
---
🩸 Scene 5: A Secret Room Revealed
Rena rushes back to the mansion. She finds a crack behind the dressing room.
Inside — a cold chamber lined with bridal veils and rusted hairbrushes.
And a mirror.
No reflection.
On the wall, written in blood:
> “Bride Number Seven – Amara – Failed.”
“Bride Number Eight – Maya – Rebuilding.”
“Bride Number Nine – Choose Carefully”
The mirror flickers.
Rena sees herself.
Wearing a veil.
---
😨 Scene 6: Maya Wakes Up
In the asylum, Maya’s eyes open.
She whispers:
> “I’m not her...
She’s not me…”
But the camera zooms in on her pupils — and they shift shape.
A nurse screams from the hallway:
All the mirrors in the building have cracked… at the same time.
Maya begins humming:
🎵 “One by one, the brides all break…
Mirror holds what hearts forsake…” 🎵
Her voice changes.
She’s not Maya anymore.
---
🎬 Final Scene: Jason’s Last Entry
The last page in the journal:
> “I thought I buried her.
But you can’t bury what doesn’t bleed.
Eliza never left.
She just needed new glass.”
“And now… she’s found you.”
Rena closes the journal, trembling.
Behind her, a whisper:
> “Do you… love me yet?”
She turns.
Nothing.
But her reflection is smiling.
And she is not.
