Escape or Die

Blade and Rope

     The loud beep sounded again and the doors opened allowing them to enter. The same voice came over the room again “ WELCOME TO YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE WHICH IS MUCH HARDER.  You have one hour  to defeat the zombies and escape. Good luck!” Now came the fun part, as the crew surveyed the room they saw ropes and blade wielding zombies running towards them. So they separate from each other except for Nick and Nima. Leela started fighting off the zombies and Kyle crafted weapons for them to help fight, Nick led Nima to the side to quickly address her wounds. Once the wounds were dressed they got up and looked at the clock seeing only 45 minutes left.  Nima rushed over to one of the ropes and pulled on it and a vate of fire fell down on her, killing her almost immediately,  Leela screamed in horror as she and the others watched her burnt body fall to the floor in a pile of burning corpse. 

    As the others continued on with the game, the clock ran lower and lower. Valark fought off the zombies along with Leela in vengeance for Nima who they thought was dead. Nick found the escape rope and he informed the other two and turned around half way when he heard fire crackling behind him. He slowly turned to see Nima wielding fire from her hands and eyes as she torches the majority of the zombies while Nick, Leela, Kyle and Valark rush to climb the rope  and Nima following behind. With only one minute to spare they break through the door. Nima was the last one to emerge from the door when an arrow came up through the door hitting Valark in the chest pinning him to the nearby wall. Nick ran over  to him  and yanked the arrow out of his shoulder then ripped off his shirt and wrapped it around the arrow wound.  

    Everyone stared at Nima in disbelief. Leela was the first one to speak up saying “ what the f**k was that!” Nima responded with “Well I come from a long line of witches who can manipulate the elements.”  They all stood in awe as she walked over to Nick and felt his bare skin and asked “Ok now can we talk about how Nick simply ripped his shirt off like a piece of paper? And the fact that he has single handedly kept all of us alive?” Everyone looked over at Nick silently asking if he was human. All he could say was “my adrenaline has been through the roof since the party...” and walked off. Once Nick was far enough away from the crew, he snuck to the game control room and checked in with the programmers and get his tri hourly dose of blood to keep him from turning.  After he got his dose, he signaled for Nima to lead the crew to the next series of games. And off they went on his command.
