Zach pushed Selene toward Lucy, who grabbed her hand and yanked her back from the dining table. Lucy bashed her cane on the floorboards, and the table slid against the wall, making Selene gasp.
Ethan, Cole, and Zach went to the windows, peering out of them with their red eyes as Cain hauled back the rug. Underneath was a trapdoor. Cain opened it and nodded into the darkness.
