Selene woke up with the worst headache she’d ever had. It pierced through her brain so sharply that she winced as she tried to open her eyes. “Here, have this,” Ethan’s voice said through the dark haze in her mind. She blinked her eyes open to see him handing her a steaming mug of something. “It’s lavender tea. It’ll help with the headache,” he said, and she sat up, grimacing at the grogginess still weighing down her thoughts. Leaning against the headboard, Selene took the mug, sniffing it before taking a small sip. The heat was soothing, the scent calming. She sighed and set the cup on the wooden bedside table before glancing up at Ethan.
