Roisin I stood there, trembling, my breath uneven as Olivine stared at me with a look that was a mix of confusion and hurt. The warmth between us from only moments ago had evaporated, replaced by a cold, suffocating tension. His brow furrowed, and the silence in the room stretched too long before he finally spoke. “Roisin… Did I do something wrong?” His voice was soft, but there was a raw edge to it. His gaze was searching, filled with uncertainty, and it made my heart ache. “Did I hurt you?” I shook my head quickly, tears stinging at the back of my eyes. The last thing I wanted was for him to think that. He had done nothing wrong, nothing at all. “No, Olivine. No, you didn’t… It’s not you. It’s me. I—I don’t know how to explain it.” He took a step toward me, his confusion deepening.
