The intensity of his stare sent a shiver down my spine, and my palms grew clammy with nerves. "Have a seat," he commanded, his tone unreadable as he gestured to the chair in front of him. I sat down, feeling the weight of the silence between us. He didn’t look away from his paperwork, but I could feel his attention focused entirely on me. "What was it you wanted to tell me when we ran into each other earlier?" Visaris asked, his voice calm yet commanding. I froze, my mind scrambling for a response.
