Chapter EightI'm still alive, was Jason's first thought when he woke inside the alien room. Honeycombs bordered the walls. He was sockless in his retro Converse tennis shoes. Jason wore his jacket and other clothes. He felt in his pocket for his ZipPAD. His captors hadn't taken it. “Where am I?” He saw another huge room next to this one and aliens working. Jason took the PAD out of his pocket. He switched the icon from voice mode to touch and tried to call his father, who would be worried. He'd be searching the area, maybe following his footsteps, unable to help when the trail led to the mother ship. “I'm on my own now. PAD doesn't work here through the metal walls and electronics. That's why they let me keep it. I'm in the guts of their mother ship. They just dumped me here in a corner
