It was all I could think of when I saw the creature I was up against. Violet mentioned that aside from her, there were very few original settlers that stayed in this town, and the rest were passersby like I was. I doubt this vampire was one of those few settlers who stayed. Not when he was looking at me like he would devour me whole.
I’ve never really met a vampire. I knew they could be dangerous, but I didn’t expect them to be this strong. He yanked me like I was a ragdoll, and even though I was already using my whole strength trying to struggle, I couldn’t even move him at all. It’s like I was pushing a steel wall.
