NATALIA I froze on my spot, hearing the spite in Ivy’s voice. I have no idea who she’s talking to, but she’s definitely angry with this person. I’ve never even heard her that spiteful. Definitely not threatening someone like that. I inched closer, wanting to hear the person’s voice on the other end of the line, but it was too loud in the restaurant for me to focus. What am I doing anyway? Why am I spying on my own best friend like she’s some kind of criminal? I should just ask her and tell her I’m worried about her, which is nothing but true.
