NATALIA Tristan’s smile faltered for a second but eventually gave a small nod. He stared at me as if memorizing every inch of my face before closing our distance, kissing my forehead, and patting my back. “I promise,” he murmured with a soft hum, “I’ll come back to you. No matter what.” It’s not exactly what I hope he’d say, but that’ll be the case for now. We moved quickly after that. Avery still looked very much unwilling to our situation but still volunteered to drive towards the pack territory. The other packs have also followed through. Not everyone looked pleased that they have to but followed anyway. I managed to see my brother, and he still looked like he wanted to talk to me, but we were busy at the moment.
