“I found her,” Xavier muttered as if I should be well aware of who he was talking about.
I looked at him blankly for a moment, wondering if he forgot that I was often not informed about family stuff, so much so that I’m either always dumbfounded when I discover something that has been known for a while now, or I’m simply not fazed by it. Whoever this person is, I didn’t even know they went missing at all!
But his realization didn’t come. Instead, he just looked reluctant to tell me the truth… whatever it was.
“Found who, exactly? Is there someone missing from the pack?” I asked, trying to stay calm, but was starting to panic because of his bizarre reactions. “Wait, don’t tell me Kyline is somehow missing, and I only knew now?”
