Chapter 12

The students are greeted by their masters, who invite them to the courtyard to begin their training classes. Asia steps up to explain things further to the students that surround the large grassy arena.

"From this moment on, this courtyard will be your training grounds. Every day, we will pass onto you all our knowledge and we will help you build upon your fighting style." As Asia explains the rules, Danny approaches Danyelle, much to her confusion.

"You are strong, quite strong. What you did to that guy at the party was amazing, you are truly an extraordinary specimen." Danny says to Danyelle. Danyelle cautiously nods and she puts her attention back to Asia.

"We would like one of you to demonstrate one of the most deadly techniques in Martial Arts history... the One Inch Punch. If that one person can do that to one of the masters here, he or she will get to choose two masters that will train and teach him or her." The students wonder who will step up and try it first. Danyelle steps up first, much to Asia's delight.

"Lucky Danyelle, lets see your mastery of this move." Asia challenges her. Asia places a punching machine in front of Danyelle, in order to measure her strength. Danyelle closes her eyes, clearing her mind. As the wind blows in the air, Danyelle stretches out her hand forward one inch, she then quickly punches the machine, causing it to explode.

"Holy f**k!" Vanessa exclaimed. While the other students look on with pure disbelief, Danyelle stands face to face with Asia, not taking her eyes of the Martial Arts master.

"Impressive... who do you choose as your teachers?" she asks Danyelle, who puts on a fingerless glove.

"White Tiger, and you!" Danyelle answers.

"And what makes you choose me? You could have chosen someone else along with White Tiger." Danyelle walks closer to Asia, staring right into her jade green eyes with intensity.

"You wouldn't let anyone else teach me along with White Tiger, you want me, because you have answers about my past." Asia looks impressed over Danyelle's bravado, cracking a smirk in the process.

"I already told you everything about your parents and your heritage. You should be thanking me." says Asia.

"I want you to tell me more, why is it that I have been talking to a glowing ball of energy recently?" Danyelle asks.

"I will make you a deal, if you can defeat me in a one on one fight right here, right now, I will tell you everything you want to know about your powers." Danyelle nods her head, accepting the challenge.

"Students, we have an impromptu challenge ahead of us, Master Asia Yondu will take on Danyelle Faust in a one on one sparring fight!" Master Drake alarms the other students to what is going to happen. Asia and Danyelle move over toward the training arena, surrounded by the students and other masters. Dean Michelson witnesses the fight from afar on the second floor.

"Ready?" Asia asks Danyelle, while getting into the stance of the Dragon. Danyelle responds by getting into the same stance. Asia attack her first, unleashing a barrage of kicks on Danyelle, who blocks them. Danyelle counters Asia by grabbing her leg and throwing her to the ground. Asia handsprings up to her feet and she begins to trade punches with Danyelle. As they counter each others attacks, they increase the speed of their punches, causing everyone to react in total shock.

Asia quickly traps Danyelle in a Triangle Hold, by countering her punch. As Asia continues to apply the pressure, Danyelle punches her hard in the face, forcing the hold to be broken. Danyelle begins to rapidly punch Asia, who guards against the flurry by covering her head with her arms. Asia swiftly traps Danyelle's left arm in a arm bar and she snaps it, causing Danyelle to scream in pain. Asia performs a combination of kicks to Danyelle's chest and stomach, before hitting her with a crescent moon kick to the jaw. Danyelle falls to the ground, to the shock of everyone watching.

"Well, so much for your little friend. She's not really that big of a deal." Carly instigates to Laura's dismay. Asia approaches Danyelle with a look of disappointment on her face.

"What's wrong, is that the best you could do? I expected better from you Mrs. Faust." as Asia walks away, Danyelle makes it to her feet, causing Asia to turn around in disbelief.

"Don't start what you can't finish, I'm far from done Asia!" Danyelle takes her left arm and she twists it on the floor, putting her shoulder back into place. The students cringed upon hearing the sound of her bones reset and crack. Danyelle smiles at Asia, inviting her to hit her. Asia punches her, but Danyelle remains standing.

"Again!" Asia punches her two more times, but Danyelle remains standing on her feet, much to everyone's shock.

"Is that all you can muster? Again!" Asia punches her three more times, finally drawing blood from Danyelle's mouth. Danyelle suddenly blocks a punch from Asia and she hits her with an uppercut, following it up with a swift roundhouse kick to the jaw. Asia gets to her feet and she attempts to axe kick Danyelle, but she is countered once again when Danyelle hits her with a knee to the chin. Danyelle and Asia trade attacks with each other, as the rest of the students watch with even greater interest.

Asia tries to nail Danyelle with a double palm strike, but Danyelle grabs her arms and she hits Asia with a backflip kick, knocking her down. Danyelle begins to smother Asia with punches, but she counters her again, getting her to the ground. Before Asia could attack however, Danyelle traps her in a Gogoplata submission hold. Feeling intense pressure, Asia taps out giving Danyelle the victory.

"Good fight!" Danyelle says to Asia as she helps her up.

"Impressive, you fought through pain and didn't stop until you won. Now that is a lesson that all of you must learn, if you can still breathe, you can still fight. You are only defeated when you decide." said Asia.

"As promised, I will tell you more about yourself, after todays class. Understood?" Danyelle nods in agreement, showing that she understands.

"All right students, time for you all to choose your masters, you may only pick up to two." Asia reminds them. Laura and Vanessa pick Asia and White Tiger, much to Danyelle's delight. Carly picks only Master Drake, not wasting her time with the other Masters. Aaron decides to train under Master Shu, while Johnny and Draca choose to train under Master Tigerblade. Danny chooses Master Drake, much to Carly's dismay, hoping that she would train alone.

"All right students, you will be going with your respective Masters to their training dojo's, beyond these doors are where you will hone your skills for the next nine months. Good luck and remember, 'the soul is more powerful than the body'." the students go into the doors, ready to begin nine months of training.
