On the way to Lindisfarne, Thomas and Matthew visited Brorda at his holding to fill him in on all that had happened, and to ask him to keep an eye open for the Hound, or for Godric. They also asked him to share their news with Nectan. As much as that rubbed Thomas the wrong way, he begrudgingly agreed that the Seelie King should be kept informed.
Once they drew near to Bebbanburg, they avoided the village and went to Torht’s holding first. From there they sent a message to Nona in Bebbanburg to meet them. Thankfully she came right away, and they told her, Torht, and Hilda of the danger they sensed.
