ChicagoCraig had been restless for most of the night, his mind racing from the events at the martial arts studio. His subconscious flashed with a myriad of hazy images that finally coalesced into a dream.
He was standing in the middle of the living area of what seemed to be the apartment where he had lived before moving in with Lauren. He could hear sobbing.
“Hello? Who’s here?” he called out. There was no response, but the sobbing continued. He looked around the apartment but couldn’t see anyone. He called out again, “Where are you?
