Chapter 12

Kenzi POV

The next morning I awoke to my mother chirping away in my head. Based on her nonstop chatter, I am sure she wanted to know what happened last night between Cal and me.

‘No mom, he did not mark me! Please give me one more hour and I will head down.’ I groaned at her.

‘No can do sweetheart. Your handsome alpha is here for breakfast.’

I immediately jumped up. ‘Next time lead with that mom. I am not dressed!’

‘Don’t worry, I am sure I can find something to entertain him with.’ Ughhh, knowing my mom that could be good or bad.

‘I will be down in twenty minutes.’ I say as I just out of the bed and head to the shower. I look over my shoulder and see Stella still pasted out and Jaxon was gone.

I quickly jump into the shower and stand under the steaming hot water. The droplets feel so soothing to my skin. I start to lather up my sponge and start cleansing my skin. I rinse my skin and decide to forgo washing my hair again this morning since I just did it last night. I jump out of the shower and towel dry quickly. I slip on my Victoria's Secret undergarments and moisturize my skin. I slide on my black skinny jeans with a  white v-neck t-shirt. I finished the outfit off with a pair of white chucks.

I left my closet to return to the restroom to do something with my unruly hair. I decided to leave it down and just mousse up my curls to give them a more defined look. I brushed my teeth and put on a light coat of lip gloss. I decided no makeup today; just a little lip gloss and mascara.

I exited out of the room and headed downstairs to the hall where food was served. When I walked in I saw everyone look over at me and gave a short bow.

“Good Morning everyone. Continue to eat.” I kept walking toward the table with my family and Cal’s family.

As I get closer to the table, I lock eyes will Cal and smile happily at him. I greet everyone as I go around to sit next to him.

“Good Morning mi Bella.” My father greets me. “When you and Cal finish breakfast, I would like for you two to meet with his father and me in your office.”

“Sure dad. What’s going on?” I asked.

“Oh, nothing. We wanted to discuss the packs merging with you two…”

Great, because we wanted to discuss the ceremonies.” My mom piped up beside him.

“Mom and dad, can you both calm down. This is something we have not even discussed yet between the two of us.” I said and I felt sparks running up and down my leg. I knew Cal was trying to calm me down. I was not upset, I just felt they were rushing us.

“No big deal, but now that Calcipher has found his mate, we will be hosting his alpha ceremony in two weeks. I would be great if you could attend, and we can do a merging of packs ceremony at this time.” Max, Cal’s father spoke up next.

“It is would be great to show a united front and trust amongst the packs. It will also be great for your whole pack to attend so that others can find their mates as well.” His mother chirped up.

I looked over at Cal. Looking deep into his eyes to see what he felt we should do. “The decision is yours, I will not rush you into anything you do not want just yet.” He said in a soft tone. While continuing to hold my gaze.

“Well, I guess we have an event to plan.” I exhaled and both of our moms squealed like girls again. I couldn’t help but notice the smile that appeared on Cal’s face. He looked so handsome.

After breakfast, we went to my office and finalized all of the ceremonial plans. We would leave for their pack in two weeks. Since our north border and their south border meet, it would be easier to plan to travel through the borders and only take limited cars.

The event would be a weekend-long party. We will hold Cal’s ceremony on Friday night and have him sworn in as Alpha of his pack. On Saturday will be the merger ceremony in which we both we will Alphas. Cal will be Alpha and I will be Alpha Luna. I was not going to give up my title so easily after all my hard work and Cal agreed with this.

We decided that they would each keep our betas and thirds and they would have co-roles; neither would be above the other. Although Emilio and Jaxon agreed to this, they still chose not to communicate with each other and only answered Cal and me when needed. Stella on the other hand was so excited to be her co-third.

After all the arrangements had been finalized, Cal and his family had to return back home. Although I was very sad to see him go, I knew I would see him in two weeks. I walked him over to his car, to allow us to have a few more minutes to ourselves.

“I will see you in 14 days.” He spoke softly into my ear.

“I hope I can deal with not being around you. My wolf has developed a connection with yours already. All I hear about is your wolf.” I giggled.

“You are not the only one. Demon never shuts up about her.” He smirked. “Do you have a cell phone?” He asked.

“I do, why?”

“Nothing, can I see it.” I do not question and reach into my pocket and hand it over.

He calls a number and I hear his phone ringing. “Now you can reach me whenever you want.”

Wow, how smooth way he. I could not stop smiling.

“Thank you.” I reached up and kissed him. I think I shocked him, but only for a few seconds before he ran his finger up my face and through my hair.

I instantly melted into his touch. It wasn’t until our parents cleared their throats behind us, did we stop. I immediately started to blush and Cal laughed.

“I will see you soon.” He said before he planted another kiss on my forehead before he climbed into the driver seat with Emilio beside him.

Emilio looked sad as he sat watching Jaxon who stood on the porch. I hope they figure this out within this time they have a part.

I moved my eyes back to Cal and gave him one last smile before I stepped back away from the car.

These weeks were going to be very long.
