“Ava, Beta, you're back from your run early,” Alpha Jacob called out across the room.
“I went out last night, Alpha, I didn't have enough sleep for a full run.”
He gave me a smile. “We're only young once, Ava. I hope you and the boys had a good night.”

“Alpha, that's not the whole truth,” I said in my mind, opening a link with him and the Beta. “We ran into rogues at the border whilst we were running.”
