Micheal still lived in the central city, but his housing complex was just outside of the protective barrier. His family would easily be able to retreat into the protected parts of the city in case of an emergency. Kate pushed that thought out of her head. She was curious, Micheal was a knight…grand knight, if you wanted to be specific, and his wife was a celebrated neurosurgeon. They would live better than eighty percent of the population, but she lived…well her empire that her mother left her was the largest financial empire in what most people considered the world, and Kate had only extended that wealth. She had only visited people whose wealth was among the top one percent. Even Kathy had come from a wealthy family and had married a man who owned major shares in many large corporations
