The Atrium

Kate stepped into the atrium. It had only been two weeks since she had visited her mother, but so much had changed. She didn’t know where to begin. For a while she simply walked around the lavish gardens that had been her mother’s but was now tenderly kept by her father’s team of gardeners. No drone kept these plants. Eventually, she ended up by the reflecting pool. She sat on the stone bench that had been her mother's. In the center of the reflecting pool, a white marble pillar had been built and a golden urn sat in its center. It was the perfect resting spot for her mother.
