THE RING OF REDEMPTION

CHAPTER 5

Rowon's POV

The incident that happened few hours ago flashed while I was having my hot bath. I have never seen a lady so aggressive. "But I must confess, she's strong."

"Rowon," Ronin called. I smiled; I knew he was worried since I didn't return his calls.

"Yes?" I stepped out of the bathtub naked, just to annoy him.

"Where have you been?" he asked, ignoring my foolish act.

"Am sorry, I couldn't pick your calls. I left my phones in the car."

He narrowed his eyes, looking at my neck. He took a few steps closer. I forgot there were red bruises on my neck due to Darya's strong grip.

"What is this?" he asked, touching my neck.

"Emmm, it's nothing." I was looking for a perfect lie because I didn't expect him to notice. Oh, I forgot he's Ronin, the best elder brother anyone can ask for. He gave me the look of 'start speaking now.' I dare not tell him my adventures lately.

"What are you up to this time? This is one of your silly adventures," he said with a raised brow.

"Oh, my cute brother." I hugged him; he pushed me away.

"Don't even act smart." He knocked me on the head. I whined.

"It's nothing, please trust me," I said.

He looked at me for a while.

"Get dressed, come downstairs, and let's eat," he said.

"Yes, sir?" I stamped my feet on the floor. Ronin is a good cook; he always cooks for me whenever he has the opportunity to do so.

I quickly hurried downstairs. I was surprised to see the dining room was almost filled. Different meals were on the table.

AUTHOR'S POV

Rowon, what happened? Where have you been?" Rowon's Aunt asked, Miss Cherry. "Sorry for making you worried," he hugged her. "Hope all is well?" she touched his chin. "Yeah," he nodded. "Rowon," someone called. "Diane?" He was surprised to see her. "How are you?" they both hugged each other. "I'm fine. Ronin called me to ask if you were with me. You made everybody worried," she pouted. He smiled and patted her on the back. He joined others in the dining...

A few hours later, Diane was in Rowon's bed room ,they were chatting. "How was your exam?" he asked. "Fine, everything has been going so fine," she smiled brightly. "Good to know," Rowon smiled too. "How are your parents?" "They are fine." "What about Lilian?" "Hmmm, she's been giving me a tough time. I really don't know what to say anymore. Rubbing it on my face that I am an adopted child." she sighed. Rowon stared at her, he drew her close and kissed her on her forehead. Her tensed body relaxed. He held her in his embrace. "I love you. You are the only one I love." "I just wish Lilian can accept that." "She will come to her senses one day." "I believe so," she placed her head on his chest.

"Master Rowon," a staff rushed towards the entrance of his room. "What?" he asked, surprised. "Master Ronin," he answered, panicking. They all rushed towards Ronin's room. He was already getting chained by Sam. He was giving an animalistic growl. "They are here," Ronin mumbled, holding his head. "Let's go out," Sam urged everyone, shutting Ronin's room door with his secret password.

Ronin was chained against his bed, his eyes were already changing to pitch black. He growled loudly, tearing his clothes. They all went out of the living room; he was trying to free himself from the big metal chain. His fingers were like that of a wolf. "Leave me alone," Rowon cried. "Rowon, come on. Let's go, at this state he doesn't know anyone," Sam and Seth dragged him. "Ronin, why?" He screamed. "What's wrong with my brother?" He asked Sam, crying bitterly. Sam couldn't answer. "He wasn't like this," he continued crying. Diane and Aunt Cherry joined him. Ronin had completely changed into a beastly form
