Chapter 3

1874 Words
~Sabrina~ My back and butt was sore even till the next morning from the lashes I received from Mochi over my attempted escape. Depression was an understatement at the moment. I hated my life. "You should have told us about your plan to escape and we would have helped you." Fiona said as she helped pack my clothes into two large suitcases. Mark's school was on a short break so he was also beside me, rubbing my hands with his and looking very furious. "You didn't trust us with your plan, did you?" Fiona probed further but I didn't bother to answer any of her questions. "Even if it was just us both you told, we would have kept it a secret and helped you out." Mark added and I sighed. "Please, I don't want to hear any further discussion on this." They respected my decision and stayed silent till one of the new maids came to my room and announced it was time to go. Tears rolled down my eyes as I bid farewell to my friends. "I'm going to miss you so much, Sabrina." Fiona said as she hugged me tight and we both wept on each other's arms. "What's taking so much time up there, huh!" I heard Mochi screaming as she took the stairs that led to my room. I withdrew from Fiona immediately and cleaned my face from the tears. "We have to go now." "Not without me getting my hug." Mark said and drew me in for a quick hug before placing a kiss on my forehead. "I know this is hard for you to bear, but I want you to have an open mind. Wild Wolf Academy may not even be as bad as people have painted it to look like. You're a fighter, and you'll survive, no matter what." "Thank you." Just then the door flung open and I turned to see Mochi glaring at me and my friends. "I hope you're done with your petty goodbyes because it's time to go!" We all filed out of my bedroom, with Fiona and Mark carrying my things because it would be hard to lift or drag heavy things around because my back was still burning like it was on fire. I saw my father outside, carrying Tom as usual in front of a waiting SUV. The car surprised me. Even a driver was behind the wheels, and I thought I would have to take public transport. "This ride is only for appearance. We can't afford to make the school authorities think we are broke." Mochi said with a sneer, and that explained everything. I got in after my belongings were put in the back of the trunk. My friends waved farewell, Mochi had excitement written over her face while Zarius stared with a blank look. Tom was crying and trying to come meet me so he rubbed his back and tried to hold him still. Sometimes, I wonder if he ever felt a bit of remorse but just can't say it. It's pathetic to see a she-wolf control him so much to the extent of treating his own daughter like a slave. I looked away before the first tear slipped off and rolled down my cheeks. He doesn't deserve to see it. After seven hours of sleeping and reading a novel, the driver finally pulled into a high fenced premises. The school was in the remote parts of Rogue Titans pack and surrounded by the forest. The structure was massive, and beautiful but it looked quite archaic. Well, the school is a couple of hundred years old. It's easy to piece why it was located in the middle of the forest. That makes it thrice hard for students to escape, and let's not talk about the layered security checkpoints we had to pass before getting here. Escaping was mission impossible. "Welcome to Wild Wolf Academy." The driver said, but it was easy to detect the mockery in his tone so I left him unanswered. Some students were loitering around, with cars driving in and out as parents dropped off their children. From the caliber of cars I was seeing, I finally understood why I was sent off in an SUV. "Welcome to Wild Wolf Academy." A woman in a white suit said the moment I opened the door. "Thank you." I muttered as I stared at her. She was very beautiful and her beauty was the kind that sucked you in and made it impossible to look away. "Get over with it darling." She said with a chuckle and I blushed and looked away. She snapped her fingers at some male wolves who were close by and they rushed to us quickly and helped in taking my luggages. "I'm Roseline. The vice principal of this great institution and have served here for over twenty five years. Are you a new or returning student?" "New." I said she nodded. Twenty five years?? How old was she then? She already looked like she was in her twenties. "Come with me for your registration, then you will be shown to your dorm. You will love it here and hate it at the same time." I shivered upon hearing that. "So... So... The rumors are true." "You'll have to find out for yourself." She said with a tight looking smile. We went for the registration and after that, Roseline told me to follow the male wolves that will lead me to the building of my dormitory. We walked past the main building and I saw lots of other smaller ones at the back. My room number was 301 which made me wonder how many students were in this Academy. The males helping me dropped the luggage at the front of a door with the number 301 written on it. "We will leave you here." One of them said and I thanked them both before they left. After a deep breath, I pushed the door to my room open. "Heyy! Lily, we got another roommate." A she-wolf said as I opened the door and walked into my dorm. It was wide and spacious with three beds and wardrobes and a drawer beside each of them. One of the females was decorating her side of the room with personal pictures and stickers while the second was at her desk with an open laptop and a headphone around her neck. I pushed my luggage further in and went to the empty bed that hasn't been taken yet. "Umm... I think that's rude. You can't just ignore us like we don't exist." I looked up to see the female at the desk eyeing me with a distasteful look. "Come on, Aurora. Don't be too hard on her. She looks like a new student and you know how hard it can be." The look on Aurora's eyes softened as it changed from bitter to pity. "Yeah, that's right. She definitely looks like a new student." I looked away, feeling uncomfortable. "Hi, I'm Aurora and this is Lily." She said with a smile while Lily waved at me. "I'm Sabrina." I said in a small voice. "So this is your first time in Wild Wolf Academy?" Lily asked and I nodded. "Umm... I'll advise you to keep an open mind here, girl, because things are actually going to go wild." Okay. I was expecting that and more. "So this place is really scary as they say?" I asked as I began to unpack my clothes from the luggage. I can as well try to get comfortable around my roommates before facing the outside students. It's a blessing that they are returning students. "It depends on how you play your cards." I raised a brow. "What do you mean by that, explain?" We talked while I unpacked and I learnt a lot of things about the Academy. From the culture here, to the different houses all students belong to and it all sounded fun especially the games and extracurricular activities being done here. The only issue was the hard and intensive training sessions along with the bullying from more powerful and senior students. "Okay ladies, it's 5:00 pm and it's time for our orientation." Aurora announced as she yawned and closed her laptop. I found out she was a content creator so she had been editing videos she made for her resumption back at the Academy which she would be posting on her YouTube channel. Totally cool. She was super beautiful and cute and had lots of aura points. We all got ready and left for the main building which I was told is called Fountain hall for our orientation. "What's going on over there?" I pointed at where there was a crowd the moment we got out of our dorm building. Lily and Aurora exchanged looks. "Hmm.... Seems like the K brothers have finally arrived. Great!" Aurora said with a sly smile. I stared at her with lots of questions in my eyes and turned back to the growing crowd. A huge tall male in the crowd seemed to be waving and pushing the students back. "Is there a celebrity in our Academy?" "Ha, the K brothers are more than celebrities." Lily said instead while Aurora stood fixed at a spot as she watched whoever I wasn't seeing with a mesmerized look on her face. Lily leaned closer and whispered into my ears. "Aurora has a big crush on them." "I heard that. And it's just Kaleb." "Okayyy... So who are they?" She wasn't giving me tea. I was drained and tired but to see so many females fangirling over some bunch of students was something to get my ears itchy. "The K brothers are fraternal triplets and go by Kaleb, Kael and Khemos. Their father runs this pack which is one of the strongest and most powerful in the entire region and country." What was there to be impressed about? "That's it?" "No. You haven't seen them and I'm not going to talk about their looks and will let your eyes do the talking for you." "Everyone, move!" Males were pushing the female students and some males away as well. "Oh come on, we need to leave." Aurora suddenly said, snapping out from whatever hypnotic mode she had been in. "Why? I want to see them." I said. The crowd was beginning to thin away. "No. Never will I be caught fangirling over the K brothers." She said and began pulling at Lily. I chuckled. "I thought you had a crush on them." "Just Kaleb, please." The air shifted as they came into view. Their aura was so powerful that it was impossible to look away or pretend they weren't passing by. They were all putting on shades so I couldn't see their eyes, but their sense of fashion was dope. From their hair to the expensive jewelleries and clothes they were putting on, it screamed class and status. One of the brothers took off his shades at that moment and I swear it, his eyes fell on me and I froze on the spot. His eyes were... "Girl, come on. Let's go." Aurora grabbed my hands and pulled, snapping me out of the dazy moment.
