Chapter 4

1600 Words
~Sabrina~ My butt was still hurting, so I had no choice than to sit at the edge of my chair as we sat at what I was told was the biggest auditorium in the building, and when Lily had asked me what was wrong, I told her I just felt like sitting that way which was weird and she sure gave me the look. The chairs were arranged in a circular pattern and there was space left in the middle for anyone who would be addressing us. Lily fanned her face in exasperation. "Can't wait for this to be all over." "Just a little patience. Our stars will be here soon to light up the atmosphere." Aurora said. I didn't need to ask to know she was referring to the K brothers or whatever they were called. Yes, they were hot and attractive and had this alluring aura but I don't see myself fangirling over them. 'Yet you had to be dragged away to end your drooling.' Lyra said and I giggled, not bothering to answer because it was a lost cause. It's been a while since I heard from Lyra, and I understand she's been sulking, hurting from the pain inflicted on me by Mochi. It may be hard here, but it's better than sharing the same house with my goddess forsaken parents. "What's making you giggle?" Aurora asked while Lily retired to her shell. She would pass as an ambivert, while Aurora on the other hand had the easygoing jovial vibe. "My wolf." "Ohh... I see. Just hope you both aren't gossiping about me." She added and we both chuckled. "So what powers do you have?" She noticed my confusion and elaborated. "I mean the power that got you here. Or you haven't discovered it?" Huh... Do students come here without having discovered their super power? "I went feral." "Really?" Aurora asked with wide eyes and I nodded. "Wow. That's just it?" Lily jumped into the conversation. I looked from Aurora to Lily as they exchanged knowing glances. "Will it be that bad? I heard a lot of stories." "Umm... We don't want to scare you because with us by your side, you'll be better off. You're lucky you didn't get into a room of newbies. Besides, how strong are you when you go feral? You don't even pass as one to me. You seem so calm and chill." Aurora said as she observed me. I clasped my hands together. How do I tell her I have only shifted once and don't possess super strength as I should? How the hell did I even get into this school? It wouldn't be a surprise if they had pulled strings to get me here or maybe lie. "You never can tell. The quiet ones are the ones to be feared. Just like me." Lily said and Aurora snorted. The whispering in the hall increased and I looked around to see the source of it. "Gosh. The females in this pack irritate me. Zero aura point when it comes to the K brothers. They all need to quit their fangirlings and start acting mature." Lily said with such distaste that it made me giggle. "Please, don't look in that direction. Face this way." Aurora shifted my neck towards the opposite direction from where they came. "Why can't you let me enjoy the goddess' creation?" I joked and that earned me a glare. Well, it happened seats were already reserved for them and the seats happened to be in the direction opposite ours. Now I can take my time to soak in the look of each of them. More students were still tripping in so there was still time left before the orientation would kick off. Lily leaned in and began whispering into my ears. "Since you want to enjoy the view—I mean, I'm not judging because it's impossible to resist, especially as a fresher. I might as well introduce you to them. The one on the black leather jacket is Khemos." He was the most handsome of his brothers through my lens. I don't know how others see him but he was more reserved, adding layers of mystery to him which I found quite alluring. His hair was blond, different from that of his brothers who all had jet black hairs. He was chewing gum slowly while on his phone. "Khemos is the most reserved amongst all three and doesn't take s**t from anyone especially the fangirls. So if you're thinking..." I groaned, not even waiting to hear all she had to say. "I'm sorry. My train of thoughts isn't going in that direction. I'm more focused on how I'll ace this Academy." "Good. Yes, Khemos is the most handsome but he's always quiet. Over to Kael. Unlike Khemos, he's the opposite. Jovial, friendly, and cute. He has a few friends in the Academy but he kinda keeps to himself too like his brothers." "And who's Kael?" "Oh... Kael's putting on the multicoloured sweater." I nodded. I was right from my guess. He looked every inch as she had described. "Kaleb is in-between. A mix of Khemos and Kael. He's friendly with his colleagues but still maintains that mysterious air." Kaleb's eyes were wandering from his phone to the students around him every few seconds. It was a good thing to see he wasn't so nonchalant. I see that's why Aurora has a crush on him. "Now a quick overview of them all. They are the only ones in the academy with bodyguards..." My eyes went briefly to the two guards flanked on each side of them. Hmm... Rich privileges, but I don't think any student here comes from a humble background. "They also have private rooms, each. No sharing." "Huh—Why's that? Kinda sounds unfair to me." "Have you forgotten I mentioned their father is Alpha of Rogue Titans? Their forefather founded this school." "Interesting." She was going to say more but Roseline walked in for her opening address. Aurora set out her camera and began recording more clips. I took a deep breath to soak everything in. I was really here and this would be my life for as long as possible till I was deemed fit to graduate. Yes, that's how the academy works. You undergo training until you've been deemed fit to graduate by the authorities. Also, all types of learning was done here. From high school teachings to college lectures. Roseline gave a welcome speech then some teachers came for some pep talks on the rules and regulations of the school along with warnings against bullying for this academy year, but I noticed almost all the students weren't listening including Lily and Aurora who were also busy on their phone. My eyes met with one of the K brothers again. Was it... Kaleb. He was the one I locked eyes with when we were outside. What's up with him and his stares? I looked away, feeling uncomfortable as well as jittery. Lily didn't mention any of them being playboys. Kael was the nice and friendly one so I assume... Okay, I don't even know what to think. I risked a stare back at him, and to my surprise, his eyes were still on me. I looked away when I couldn't hold it anymore. I do receive compliments on my looks, but I haven't found a very handsome male—not just the attractive kind, I mean the drop dead gorgeous ones find me attractive. "I know Kaleb is staring at you, but sis, pay no attention to that. He's a total flirt. I didn't say playboy, I said flirt. Rumors have it that none of them have dated before." Lily whispered to my hearing alone. Aurora was completely engrossed in whatever she was doing on her phone. My ego fell flat straight and I willed myself to calm down. There was nothing special about the staring match, after all. After the orientation was over, all new students were given houses to join. We were made to pick different colours of balls alternatively and I happened to settle for Blue which was the Royal house. Lily was in Diamond house as well as Aurora. After the house sharing, we went to the cafeteria for dinner. "You're so lucky to be in the Royal house." Aurora said. "And what's so special about the house?" She and Lily both chuckled. "That's like the best house. Everyone wishes they were there. That's the house the K brothers are all in." I shrugged. "Okay. I see nothing special though." I said, earning unbelievable glances from my roommates. The cafeteria was large and spacious to fit in the thousands of students here. There were so many large and long tables in the hall with chairs around them. And there was a section where the chefs and buffet trays were. Students served themselves and went to take their seats. "Let's go to that table." Aurora pointed to a particular table with one hand, holding her camera with her left. My phone pinged from a message and I took it out from my waist bag to see it was a message from Fiona. Fiona: Hey bestie, I'll assume you've arrived at this time. How's WWA treating you? Do you need me to come running to your rescue? A smile lit up my face and I slowed my steps to reply to her. "Watch where you are going, young lady!" I looked up immediately to see I was almost running into... Wait. It's Khemos and he was glaring at me with distaste.
