"What about your brothers?" Rodrigo asked as the maid poured out some tea for us.
"Probably asleep." I said and took a sip of the hot tea after she was done.
It was midnight but I couldn't sleep and had come out to stroll round the courtyard when I ran into Rodrigo as well. He had requested I join him for tea and I did.
I looked up at him to see him deep in thought. He didn't bother to hide the storm that had gathered in his eyes, the fear of the unknown of what had happened while we were away.
"How bad is it?"
"I'm afraid we are going to witness what our fathers had fought for and thought they had gotten victory over."
