EPILOGUE One month later Beth The standing stones towered above us like silent sentinels. They were much larger than any standing stones I'd been to back home in Scotland. They would be witnesses to our handfasting ceremony; the first that had taken place in this sacred location in a generation. Half the planet seemed to be here. I didn't recognise most of the Albyans, but I felt honoured that all these strangers had come all this way to celebrate with us. Our feast earlier had been just for close friends and family, but there were refreshment stations set up all around the stones for guests to help themselves. I'd barely been able to eat anything, but Cyle had managed to feed me a few bites of my favourite Albyan dishes. I would have preferred a quiet ceremony, just the two of us
