CHAPTER TEN BethIt was fascinating to see Cyle in action. I stayed by his side and watched as he organised teams, assigned students to help out experienced scientists, handed out tasks. Jenny reassured everyone that the tests were non-invasive and painless, except for when they took blood samples. I knew some people didn’t like hospitals, but for me, the hospital had been a place I’d felt safe. After the accident, everything had been chaos.
