CHAPTER EIGHT
EronEveryone gave us a wide berth. I suspected Thorrn had warned everyone to stay out of my way and he was right to do so. Every time I'd seen a male getting close to my mate, my antennae had burned with agony. I couldn't stand her being more than an arm's length away from me. Now, she was where she belonged. In my arms, pressed against my chest. My antennae tingled gently, the pain all but gone.
June looked up at me with a strange expression. I should know what she was thinking. She was my mate. But I had no idea how to interpret those slightly widened eyes, the flushed cheeks, the flared nostrils. Her scent muddled my senses. It was the sweetest thing I'd ever smelled and I couldn't get enough of it.
