I bade my dad goodnight after ignoring his series of questions , asking if I'm ok, what's wrong with my sudden change in mood. I walked to the mansion garage to see the limo that bought me and Will leaving. Bastard !.
I screamed in my head and opened my silver purse to bring my phone out so I could call Uber cause I don't want my dad to get suspicious of my relationship with Will since he's was against my marriage with him in the first place and I can't risk losing my dad because of him.
I hear a car horn making me look up from my purse to see a black new edition porsche park in front of me.
"Need a ride? ''
I heard Jake voice from t driver's seat while gesturing for me to come in.
" no thank you,I'm waiting for my driver"
I rejected politely with a smile
" I know your husband left without you Mrs Gray,it's okay I just can't bear to see a damsel in distress"
he replied with a polite smile. I don't have a choice but to hop in so I can convince him not to reveal what he knows to anyone.
" I will really appreciate if you don't tell anyone about our fight, couples do fight it's a normal thing in a healthy relationship"
I said putting on the seat belt
" I understand my lips are sealed"
He said doing a zip closing gesture with his thumb and middle finger over his pink bow shaped lips which are not as perfect as my husband's but still beautiful,I face my front so I can stop comparing him to Will
" so why are you really helping me from what I heard of you, you keep to yourself most of the time. some rumors even had it that you're gay"
I heard him chuckled as the car roar to live and start moving
" That's not true I just don't like women drama and all,I'm a perfectly straight man I can show you"
he said making me look at him
" Did you just try to seduce a married woman?"
I asked with humor cause I knew he's just joking
"who?me?,no I can't risk the wrath of your rich husband"
he said dramatically making me laugh
" you are one person I want to have around me,can we be friends?"
" That's an honor Mrs Gray"
he answered
" Just call me Anna"
The car slowed down at the security check at the gate of my husband's mansion as the guards came to check
"He's with me"
I told the guards who immediately recognized me and opened the huge gate allowing him to drive in
"How did you know where I live,I don't remember telling you"
he chuckled and replied
" Everyone knows where the golden couple lives"
he said, as my mood turn sour, people named us that cause we both have rich background not knowing how much sad I am.
"hey ,you okay?"
Jake asked worried making me realize that the car is already packed in front of the mansion
"I'm fine,thanks for the ride"
I said with a genuine smile as I alight the car and waved him bye with heavy sigh. Back home.
