Susan was in utter disbelief. "Dad, the video is crystal clear. John was the one who made the mistake. Why am I the one who has to explain?"
Julie pressed on aggressively, her voice laced with emotion. "Susan, don't play dumb. This video exposes your scheme to frame John." Her eyes welled up with tears as she continued, "Susan, you're John's big sister! How could you be so cruel as to set him up like this?"
"I'm cruel? I set him up?" Susan felt as if someone had ripped her heart apart. Her own mother's accusations, mixed with the weight of familial love, made it difficult for her to even breathe.
She stared at Julie in shock, unable to hold back the question that escaped her lips. "Mom, I'm your daughter too. Why would you use such awful words to describe me? Do you not love me?"
