The trip back to town seemed much faster than the ride out to where they’d stood and gazed at the Devil’s Tower. London didn’t know how far away it had been, but she’d have guessed twenty to thirty miles. She was still amazed it could be seen from the highway and somehow, she’d missed it. She let her mind drift while they rode. Her arms wrapped around Tuck’s middle and the rumble of the bike beneath them kept him at the front of her mind and she couldn’t help but wonder if he really had anything planned for tonight like he’d hinted at.
