London sat in the passenger seat of her Escape, watching Tuck as he drove the two hours back to Gillette. She hadn’t thought they’d be back quite this soon. Not with the intent of him moving up here. He sat stone faced. She couldn’t help but wonder what he was thinking. Was he remembering his time in high school? Remembering the last time he’d lived at the ranch? Was he trying to figure out whoever the people on the bikes were that kept surrounding them and had previously tried to run him off the road?
