Chapter 46

Evi slowly was walking away, as the cold atmosphere was spreading all around her. It was extreme, literally freezing out there, but more than any thing it seemed as if she was inviting this kind of atmosphere to get to her. There was no problem for the queen at all, as much as cold that she felt inside of her soul, this cold meant nothing to her. It took her a while as she was walking blindly into the forest, only taking the massive support of the light from the moon itself, which was very helpful in many ways. But right there and then, Evi immediately reached the beautiful water falls, the sound of it was so loud and that being the only sound here. Although, before it could have scared Evi in the most brutal possible way, but right as of now, it did not scare her even the slightest. She looked at the beauty that it was, feeling the cold splashes of water that was landing on her body. Some how it made her feel much more alive but had calmed her down as well. Some thing she needed very badly to feel. Evi was just standing there, and her hands behind her back as her thought immediately went to so many things that happened to her here. Evi would have never in a million years thought that she would have made memories in this place, out of all the places that could have been in. Evi could have never imagined in a million years to actually have a point in life where she did not want to leave and her heart was actually sinking. She was so frustrated from moving here to there, and how every one is saying this was the right thing to do this. and how it will help her. This was the same line from her mother, and now her mate. But not once did anyone ask her if the decisions that they were making for her, was it the right one or not, or was it some things she wanted to be a part of, or not. Never once was she asked, and never once even thought of that idea to come to them. Every one were just going ahead and doing, saying whatever they wanted to and she simply had to nod her head, and agree. She hated every bit of it, but at this moment she knew there was no point of thinking of any of this. For once she was going to decide for herself, and every decision would be hers from now on and no one would interfere. Evi thought, although, feeling as lonely as ever. As those words even came to her mind, but what else could she do. Where else could she go, except for be with herself. But as she was trying to have a moment alone there, Evi couldn't help but feel a presence behind her. A presence that she did not want around her at all. Immediately, Evi shut her eyes. Ad she was trying to gather up her courage and slowly she turned around and looked as from the darkness and the shadows behind her, walked up her mate. She did not know what it exactly was, but she could see a sense of pain in his eyes and he seemed a little worried. But at the same time, the Alpha inside of him was out in the open as well. "You shouldn't have come here.." She whispered, "I could say the very same thing to you. You should be out there celebrating with your people." He said, and she started shaking her head. "Celebrating what? Me leaving this place?" She asked, slowly turning around and looking back at the water. Evi had no power inside of her to look into his eyes and speak. Even though she was the Queen here and she was born to take this title that she was being scripted away of. It was still very difficult for her to look into his eyes, the magical was so strong and there was no way that she could control her emotions. And that is all that she had with her now, her emotions to hold up inside of her. How ever, the Alpha lord on the other hand, he walked a little closer towards her. Never once taking his eyes off of her. But he kept his distance from Evi, knowing that she wouldn't like this from him of all people. "You packed up all of your thinks?" he asked, confused or that is how he sounded to her. "Isn't that what you wanted?......." "Let me finish Evelet.." He said to her, and she was trying so hard not to roll her eyes and she did not at all. Biting the inside of her lips, she was shakes her head, trying everything to calm herself down. Especially around him, which is extremely hard all the time. But never the less, she stayed quiet. "You were not supposed to leave today.." he reminded her, forcing this eyes. "I want to leave right now .." She said, telling him that truth, How ever, suddenly there was a shift in his body, all because this was some thing he did not expect her to do. Evi leaving was a curse to him. What he was doing, Barka knew he was wrong to do that but hearing her say that in particular tore some thing entirely inside of him. "You are leaving? you are truly leaving?" He asked, scared for her answer now. "I don't know why you surprised?" She asked, shaking her head, and looking down at the water that was flowing away. Evi was trying very hard to concentrate just on that, as the pain in her body was killing her, making it difficult for her to breath. Her body shaking unnaturally. Evi had no idea what he was doing with her, but he was only speaking to her. "What is that you want from me?" He asked, his voice coming up so strong, so rough yet very tired. How ever, she had a frown on her face. Evi was taken a back by that ridiculous question. Quickly she turned around facing the man and trying to understand him for once. "You are joking with me right?" She asked "I am not. Have you ever seen me do that?" he asked her back. "I am seeing you do that right now." She said coming right on point, and not holding back this time. "You wanted me to leave, why because I went and spoke to someone in the prison. That is your reason to let me go. And that is your reason to reject me?" She asked, when suddenly his body stood up straight. "What are you talking about?" He asked. "Genie told me you rejected me Barka.. You were screaming it to every one." She let out her voice breaking as she said those words. While her eyes started to get a bit glassy. She did not want to cry but as she said that forbidden word, it was almost killing her inside. The man, on the other hand, he wanted to hurt himself so bad, seeing what he had done to her.. "Evelet.." Barka called out her name, trying to walk closer but she backed away almost immediately. "I know I am not your first choice. I also know that there are things I have done that you do not approve of. But you honestly think I was wrong to do it? what kind of a queen do you want Barka?" She asked, defeated. "Some one who keep saying "yes" to you, that is not how it works. You have given me all the respect I have ever needed, and a title that I deserve. And still you don't let me do my job. I don't understand why every time I try to be a Queen, you don't let me be one? which is my right and you get angry with me that you want me to leave you. You rejected me, then why even bring me here if you only hated me?" She asked, all the questions that she could not. "That is not my intend Evelet.." he tried to say some thing. "But you have already done that.." She said, this time not being able to continue any more. Her chest was hurting and so was her stomach. Shaking her head in the sadness. "You are ready to leave then? you are really going?" He asked, confusing her even more than before. Because this seemed like a question, and not like a statement that he was making or ordering her to leave. But as she looked away from the ground and back up at him, Evi could see his face. And now being able to read that he was asking her. "I saw your suitcases. Are you really going to leave?" He asked once again. "Did you not give me an order? and you do realise what it means to disrespect a king's order?" She asked, but by now he was losing his mind. "F*** THE ORDER. TELL ME, ARE YOU LEAVING ME HERE?" He said, and now his voice got so loud that even her body started to shiver. Evi was confused but he looked so angry. His face demanding an answer from her. "Barka......." She called out for him, surprised by the way he was behaving, but some thing had changed inside of him, she could see and hear that. It looked as if he was the one who was in pain, and not her. But she was the one leaving. No longer was Evi confused but now she was struck by his behaviour. "I give you an order, yes. So you are going to leave? just like that?" He asked. "You rejected me.." She let out, breaking now. "And you are still going to leave? just like that. No fight put up?" He asked, wanting answers. "You do not want me.." She said, whispering softly, and right then there was a c***k on her voice, as her eyes started to water so badly that she did not have the strength inside of her to let it stay, or not let it out. Evi just gave away. Crying...... crying for some thing that she was losing to. That she did not want to lose. "Do you want me to go ?" She asked, seeing how the man was walking of closer to her, and for the first time in her entire life, his face had softtneed up and Evi just could not believe that. This was happening for her of all people, he was behaving like this for her. He was sad for her as well. "Evelet, there are many things I told you over the weeks..." He said as Barka clenched his jaw very hard. He looked so mad, so angry and sad at the same time. It was pretty disturbing here. "What are you talking about ?" She asked. "What I am talking about is, me telling you do not do a certain things, and I constantly have told you to eat your food on time and eat every bit of it, have you ever listened to me? no, you did what ever you wanted to." he said, taking a step closer. "I have always told you to rest, take as much as rest as you can and yet you never listened to me, you still did what ever you could, what ever pleased you.." He let out, never taking his eyes off of her, but moving closer for sure. "I said to you to stay in the castle, not go out looking for trouble because there were people trying to find you, and yet you did every thing in your power to not listen to me and I was giving you orders all those times Evelet. Every day.." He said, walking even closer and closer the towards her. Every step with every word he took forward. What ever was going on was very shocking to Evi. She was listening to him very carefully, but what ever he was saying, she was taking it in a different way for one. Evi was actually understanding him and not reading too much in to it. Evi under stood him this time. "I have always ordered you, since the very first day I told you to "come with me" Since that moment in time I have been trying to order you which you have all the time dismissed. Never once were you willing to listen to me and now you listen to me." He said, spitting out in anger, while his voice was so thick and so rough that she was actually panicking. Line had started to form on her forehead, as she tried to look away from him. Her eyes going left and right. But went right back to him immediately. The man was already too close to her, but she did not back away. This was the king talking to her, and she could not move away from the king and his presence. "You do not want me to go?" She asked him, straight forward and now sugar coating it. She was not trying to get a different answer just straight forward "yes" or "no". "When have you ever listened to me before Evelet. That you want to listen to me now. I told you to leave and you just go? why listen to me right now? suddenly I am your King? when all this time you thought nothing of me." He asked, looking down right in to her eyes. "You seriously don't want me to go? you want me to stay?" She asked wanting an answer from him. "You are one of the most stubble women I have ever met." He said, smirking. "I am no where even close to you, not as you are. But what are you trying to say?" She asked yet again. How ever, this time he said nothing to her, rather this time she and he stood there. Close he was standing to her. Their chests almost touching each other. He was looking down into her eyes, watching the pain that he had caused her. Barka did not know how he was ever going to forgive himself for what he was doing and for how long he was treating her this way. All the time that too. But this was the last straw, even for himself. Slowly he started to wipe her tears away. Not wanting to see her this way. "You are turn red. Every time you get angry you get red." he said, and she started to blink her eyes, placing her hand on her face, stunned by his words. "I........... everyone turns red when they get angry, some thing to............... do with skin...........tissue." Evi said, as let out whispering the last part of her statement. Giving him a correct answer and an explaining of it all. And right then there was a smile hat he had on him. he was not giving it to her, but rather he was doing it to himself. Some thing she has not seen before because it was very pleasant one. It was not just a fake smile to go about the day. It was an honest on, an honest reaction. "Do you not want me to go?................" "Stay..........." He said. Even before she could finish what she was about to say to him. It was definitely need less to say that she was surprised. Not by what he said to her, that was not it. But he said that to her, was what got to her. And she actually relaxed as of now. His words calmed her wolf, and her down. Her body settled, and she could feel it in every cell that she had. Evi was actually breathing yet again. Some thing she had forgotten to do for hours, and not being able to take in a deep breath and not being able to let it out is torture in every word. No one should be living a life like that. Not in this world. "Listen to him carefully Evelet, I don't want you to go any where, yes I was angry and I said what I thought was right but you are right as well." He said and immediately her eyes wide open in shock. She started to squint her eyes a little bit, not expecting this for him. But he continued on, taking his words back. "Our pack needs you, you are their queen." he said, stunning her. "I know you like to disrespect me all the time, I can understand that but you are not a bad Queen." He said and she squinted her eyes even more so, her mouth slightly open. She was so confused at this moment. "I know that my family loves you, I cannot keep you away from them. They have not been this happy before but now life is different for all of them, even Nori..." He let out, thinking about his behest friend, sister. "Nori has been a friend, some thing she only had with me. But I get very tired of her all the time, and she spending time with you will make her happy as well..... You are their Queen................." "Who the f*** are you?" She asked him, surprised as the man stood stunned, who was confessing so much to her. "What....... what did I say?" He let out, confused as ever and so many things now running in his mind. "I have never once heard you say such good things about me. I don't think you are the king or the same King I know." She said, staring at him with her long and large black eyes. Truly Barka could not look away from her. Slowly Evi placed her hands on his shoulders, and pushing him away from her. The man started to blink his eyes repeatedly, looking at his mate confused of the fact that, if she was playing with him or if she was serious. "I am not joking Evelet.." He said to her. "I know, but a few minutes ago you are very mean to me, and now you are saying so many good things.." She whispered, making him understand as he slowly started to nod his head. Slowly looking down at the ground, feeling defeated. The king started taking in a deep breath, letting it out. "I know you mean it, but this was some thing I was not........" She went on and on, looking around the place, speaking none stop as always, this did not stun him that much, he was looked down at her as she was talking with her hands as well, expressive that she was. "I am sorry..." He let out... Coming out of nowhere. "And I.................. What?" She asked, stopping her rant and by now her eyes could not have gone bigger than it had already did. This was a lot for her and he knew it was. he was enjoying it.
