Gianni's POV
Why was the stranger I saved walking to the altar and Landon was behind him?
"Sorry I'm late and don't mind the blood," Damian apologized to the priest before he glared at me.
My jaw dropped slightly as my eyes widened in surprise under my veil, the stranger I had saved that night was Professor Lisa's son and I am marrying Landon's boss right now!!
"Sure," the priest began to conduct the wedding ceremony.
"We signed our vows already so there is no need to say it and please do not say kiss your Bride," Damian smiled at the priest and he gulped.
I wondered why the priest was so damn quiet listening to every single word Damian said, I could see fear in his eyes and his hands were trembling as he spoke.
My eyes landed on the glass table on the altar and from the reflection I could see an assassin on the rooftop aiming its gun at me. Why me? Or was it the priest? Or could it be Damian?
I couldn't care less if it was either Damian or me. At least I will be free.
The priest conducted the ceremony in fear and we signed the document, after all the process, Damian went straight to his car and drove off leaving me at the church.
"What's up with your husband? First, he came to the church with a blood-stained shirt and now he's leaving the hall without you? And why does he look like the half-dead man you brought home!" Arabella asked in anger and curiously.
"He is a doctor, that explains the blood-stained shirt and he is going back to the hospital right now and people do look alike, you are just mistaken," I hugged Arabella as I pecked her head.
"Okay, I will miss you a lot, and staying with Luna won't be easy," Arabella whispered in my ears, I chuckled and pulled away from the hug.
"Really? A doctor? And he is the stranger of that night not lookalike," Luna whispered into my ears as she hugged me.
I didn't really lie to them, I found out he has a medical license but isn't practicing at the moment due to his personal reasons.
"Sure, I will miss you please take care of Arabella and Louis," I pulled away from the hug and went straight to the car that brought me to this venue.
When I arrived at the Villa, I couldn't believe this place was now my home, I can't even call it my home. It's now more like a prison, as I step into the house, it feels different.
"Aunty Gianni!" Francis ran to hug me and I picked him up into my arms.
"Baby," I pecked him all over as he giggled.
"Granny said you are mummy now," Francis hugged me tight, his little hands around my neck, "I now have a mummy, people can't tease me at school anymore," Francis whispered in my neck.
Was he mocked for not having a mom? That's terrible, "Baby now I'm here nothing like that will ever happen again."
"She can ever be our mom, nobody can replace our mom, Francis she is just a caretaker," Selena was standing at the entrance of the living room and all I could see was hatred in her eyes.
"I can never replace your mother," I put Francis down.
"Liar, you liar! Then why did you marry my dad if you weren't trying to replace my mom," I stared at Selena not knowing what to say.
She is just a child who keeps feeding her with this nonsense, I wanted to make her see the reasons but Professor Lisa interrupted.
"Selena! Don't ever raise your voice at her, your mother is dead! She is long gone! you should understand from now on this is your mother and father's wife and the new Madam of every single thing, now go to your room this instance," Professor Lisa pointed at the stairs, Selena glared at her before dragging Francis upstairs.
"Weren't you too harsh on her?" I asked professor Lisa, I felt guilty for the way Selena was treated.
"No I wasn't, Selena Is just as stubborn as her father and mother so she will have to learn the hard way and you have to teach her," Professor Lisa explained.
"But,"
"No but, Gianni just do it, Selena is already a brat that's why I picked you to straighten her," I nodded my head to professor Lisa, "Now go get ready for the night."
"The night?" I raised my eyebrows, confusion evident on my face.
"You are newly wed and I'm sure you know what happens on the night of a newly wed," Mischief sparked in professor Lisa's eyes.
"Our case is different," I tried to explain to her.
"Just for formality, I have sent all the workers away, I will put the kids to sleep and it will just be you and him," professor Lisa smiled and handed me a shopping bag, "Put it on tonight."
I smiled took the bag and left to the room that was described to me, the room was dark as f**k and had all black Decorations and a touch or Ash, my eyes can the room and I realized on the wall was a big frame of my husband and a woman who I'm assuming to be his late wife.
I ignored it because it wasn't my business, I took off the wedding gown and all the hair pins. It was very difficult but I was able to do it. I dropped the wedding gown and veil on the bed and the hairpin on the dressing mirror.
I had my bath and put on the black silk nightwear. It was beautiful and held my body in the right curves. I sat in front of the mirror waiting to see what would happen when he arrived. Suddenly I heard my phone beep.
"I thought I put it off before the wedding," I brought it out of my purse to see so many miss calls and voicemail from Louis.
I wanted to ignore but my hands accidentally pressed one of the voicemail, "Gianni, please leave the wedding, I will repay all the money used for the surgery, please I would die if I see you in another man's arms, I won't be able to survive if I see you bear another man's name," I suddenly heard a loud crash and fear gripped me.
I dialed Louis' number and it was off. What was going on? Then my eyes caught a message from Arabella, "Louis is in the hospital, he was in a terrible accident."
I didn't think twice about what I was wearing, I opened the wardrobe and picked one of Damian's biggest shirts. There were so many car keys on the table, I picked one and dashed out of the house not minding what would happen. Tomorrow I will face the consequences.
