Josh has already gone off right after teasing Evan, without further initiating a deeper argument. I don't know if it's required for them to start banging at each other the moment that they see one another, or it's just the action brought upon their impulse.
Evan removed the grasp of his hand from mine. "Hey, tell me straight, are you still interested in that bastard Josh?" he asked out of the blue, making me blush and having trouble making eye contact.
"N-No way. Josh just seems to be sagacious and kind which is why it isn't that difficult to get along with him since he doesn't have a totally wicked attitude and all," I replied then folded my arms.
