633 Words
As of today I am officially promoted from uncle to brother. I don't really care if there is a difference what matters to me is one sounded like I am older while the other make me younger. Works for me. I'm still in the bakery still helping. I mean I like helping people. Aren't I very nice? "Brother can we eat again in your house again?" Leo came to me again and but I merely shook my head. "Nope not tonight" When I said that two pair of eyes look about to cry. Two, three year old boys look down looking very sad. I only chuckled then pointed the basket and bag I brought. "Tonight we will go star gazing" The twins look at me with their adorable round eyes. It was cute, honestly I couldn't help but pinch their chubby cheeks. "Arwe gwema wotch tho stwers?" They tried to say despite their cheeks being pinch by me. I simply nodded with a smile. "Didn't you told me before you also wanted to see the stars?" I said as I let go of their chubby cheeks. Leo and Lucas both nodded but what was more than that their small tiny hand were strongly gripping my shirt. I don't know but they seem afraid of letting go. However looking at their eyes I saw no fear nor panic, they were just happy. Can happiness realy cause children like this? Well I never experienced these with mine before. They were to proactive and honest, they bluntly tell me what's wrong. However this children seem to far for me to understand yet. My hand find themselves stroking their heads. I don't know what they are afraid of but I could at least ease up their pain. "Are there any things you wanted to bring?" Two adorable munchin nodded their heads and rush inside. I could hear a couple thuds above the ceiling. It seems the second floor is their room. With the sound I could guess how excited they are. "I should bring some more candies" I muttered while shaking my head. While I was cleaning the bakery a light calm footsteps began approaching. "What are you doing?" A light teasing grin curl up to my lips as I said that. I could hear a person's squel, like a criminal being caught in the act. "How did you notice me, I was sure I was silent" I smiled widened while shifting my gaze from my bag to the woman behind my back. I slowly lean in putting one finger in front of my lips. Then I spoke in a manner like a teacher scolding his student. "Little lady if you want to scare me be as quiet as cat" I then beam a smile before grabbing the basket she was holding. My body stiffen a bit because I accidentally smelled her scent. How should process it? It was sweet and I could even distinguished a bit of flowers among the mix. I couldn't help but gulp down. I tried to calm the stirred in my heart and just took the basket of fruits she had picked from our family's backyard. "Do you want me to prepare something for you?" I asked pretending to be calm I don't want her to see the flush that began to brew from my cheeks and ears. "..." I waited for her answer however when it didn't came I looked back only to see her conflicted red expression. "Larissa?" I called but all the answer I get was her walking in hurry to the back kitchen. I narrowed my eyes an caught a glimpse of her redden eyes. '...' '....' For three whole seconds I stood blankly not knowing how to understand what I just saw. "Did I made her cry?"
