“Baby,” I said tucking her in carefully with the seat belt slant on her torso, my face was just in front of hers, but no, I’m not going to kiss her. “Please know whatever it is, I’m here to support you. Will always be on your side, even if it is with someone I’ve known for long. I love you and nothing's going to change that.” My eyes studied hers, getting sunk in the beauty of it. Her eyes soften and it took all the resistance in me to restrain myself.
“I can never say no to pizza on a drive. With ice-cream too.” She looked at me sincerely for the first time.
I smiled to the comment.
“And you. So Mister lover, charm me with your driving skills. I’ve been dying to be alone with you before the day ends.”
