Arianna's eyes widened, her heart thudded rapidly against her chest. Her hands shot to his chest. She tried to push him away, but he grabbed her hand and caged it behind her back. She struggled to move, but his grip was strong. He bit her lower lip and a moan she wasn’t prepared for escaped her lips.
Damian smiled into the kiss and slid his tongue into her mouth, deepening the kiss. Her mind went hazy, then blank. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn’t help but melt into the kiss.
She snapped back to reality when she tasted something metallic — her blood. Her eyes snapped open, she bit him back, and he let her go.
Damian wiped his bloody lip with his thumb, a cruel smile playing on his lips. His eyes went to her lips, and he felt proud of his action. His gaze swept through the hall, and all he could see were the stunned faces of the students, then finally his gaze fell on Kai. Maybe he was being delusional, but he could have sworn he saw a hint of sadness in Kai’s amber eyes.
He looked away quickly, his eyes now back to the fuming girl before him. For someone like Arianna, he was sure this wasn’t the end.
“See you next time princess,” he winked, turned and casually walked out.
Chelsea ran to Aria, who hadn’t moved from her spot, “Aria, are you okay. Sh*t you’re bleeding. I can’t believe that the classless son of a b*tch did this to you. He’s gonna be in big trouble if Cole finds out.”
Arianna’s head snapped to Chelsea, “Why didn’t you help me out, and where the f*ck is Lily?”
Chelsea swallowed, her head went low, avoiding eye contact, “You said I shouldn't get involved in whatever you do remember, and Lily ran out.”
“Make sure this doesn’t get out, I’m so gonna make him pay for humiliating me like this,” her voice dropped low and venomous.
She stormed out, and Chelsea followed suit.
The day dragged on, with Damian sleeping throughout classes. The day finally came to an end. He got up, touched his shirt, and he sighed. He reeked of coffee, he didn’t wash up or clean up, he didn’t see any need to do so.
He arranged his bag, hung it around his back, his eyes scanned through the empty class, and he scoffed.
He managed to leave the academy with thousands of eyes on him, but he didn’t care. He got to the students' parking lot where his motorcycle was parked. “I miss you so much, baby,” he said to the bike, admiring the new Ducati Panigale V4. He bought the bike the day Isabelle left the house, and boy, it was the happiest day of his life. Isabelle would let him get it, so he took the opportunity the day he left. Aside from Isabelle, this bike was his family now.
“Hi Damian,”
Damian turned to the voice, then he rolled his eyes, “Oh, it's you.”
“Yeah its me,”
For some minutes they stood staring at each other. Kai took in all Damian’s features; he didn't know why, but he felt drawn to him, in ways he didn’t understand.
“Why are you here?” Damian was the first to break the silence. He was tired of the staring competition.
Kai took a deep breath, then bit his lip, “Did it hurt?”
“I never knew you cared this much, considering the fact that you’ve ignored me for the past few days.”
“Answer the question Damian?”
“My chest burns a little. Nothing much.”
Kai moved closer, but Damian took a step back, and he paused. “I’m sorry if I had ignored you, but you were such a rude jerk to me, and I thought you’d apologize, but you didn’t, and now you’ve got into a stupid rivalry with Arianna, and you had to kiss her and….” his words came out rushed, he had to pause for air.
“Be careful around Arianna, that’s all I ask.”
Something shifted in Damian's gaze. He nodded, “I’m sorry I was a rude jerk to you, and I promise to be careful around Daddy's girl.” he said.
He turned to leave, but Kai’s hands stretched out and caught his wrist. Their eyes met, Kai moved closer, and placed a light kiss on his cheek, “See you tomorrow D,” he said, then walked away quickly.
Damian stood flabbergasted, but he was quick to snap out of it. His fingers ran through his hair, and a mocking smile cornered his lips. It was funny how he got to kiss two genders today.
He hopped on his bike, the Ducati’s engine purred beneath him, and he zoomed off.
Somewhere in the students' park, a luxurious car is parked watching everything that unfolds between Damian and Kai. Her fist clenched tightly when she saw Kai kiss Damian. The way they stood made it seem like Kai whispered something to him, but she knew damn well that it was a kiss.
“I want every single detail about him,”
“Yes young miss.” The guard beside her answered. They started the car, and it zoomed off.

{THE NEXT DAY— HELIOS CORP.}
Chloe rushed into the tall glass building that towered over Manhattan's skyline. Helios Corp was a famous conglomerate company like CII, ranking second worldwide, while CII ranked first globally. With the huge competition between the two companies, both the staff and the CEO’s of both companies were all in on the complicated rivalry. However, Chloe didn’t care, she only needed her pay.
The CEO of Helios Corp, Adrian Black, was finally back. She couldn’t afford to make a bad first-time impression.
She bumped into a lady in her early fifties. The lady looked younger, if not for the wrinkles on her face she wouldn’t have known.
“I’m so sorry ma,” she said, quickly helping the lady pick up her bag that had fallen on the floor. The lady smiled at her sweetly, “Thank you, child. I suppose I can’t blame you for your incompetence.”
Chloe's smile dropped, and her brows furrowed, “Excuse me?”
“Have a nice day darling, make sure to watch where you’re going.” The lady said and walked away.
Chloe felt her blood boil, the lady had insulted her in the sweetest way possible. She wanted to go after her to make things clear, but she halted on her tracks when she saw the lady take the company's private elevator — the one personally made for Adrian Black.
She took a deep breath to clear her head, she was already running late, she couldn’t let some lady ruin her mood. She turned and walked away, taking the staff elevator to the top floor where Adrian’s office was.
She got to his office, took another deep breath, she checked her outfit — she had to make a good first day impression on her boss. She knocked on the opaque glass door, and she was given permission to enter.
She closed the door carefully as she stepped in, her heart skipped beats when she saw the lady who had elegantly insulted her earlier.
“Good morning Mr Black,” she bowed a little, but Adrian didn’t turn to acknowledge her presence, she could only see his broad back. He was watching the city from the glass walls in his office.
She turned to the lady, “Good morning ma’am,” she didn’t know who she was, but it was better to be on the safe side.
The lady gave her a charming smile, then turned to the man who had his back facing then, “Come on Adrian, I'm sure you can do better with your employees.”
Chloe clenched her fist, her nails biting into her palm, she turned to Adrian, but he said nothing.
“I need the review of the files on the table before closing hours, Ms Hart,” Adrian's deep voice resonated.
“Anything else,” Chloe asked, curious as to why he stood like that.
“Leave.”
Chloe bowed then left without another word.
