After the Full Moon.

They returned to Nightfall two days after the battle on the ridge. The fortress gates opened wide for the victorious column. Warriors who had stayed behind lined the walls and the courtyard, slamming fists against armor and wood in a deep, rhythmic salute. The scent of blood still clung to the returning fighters, but stronger than the blood was the unmistakable scent of three Alphas thoroughly claimed on one female. Selene rode between Kael, Ronan, and Darius exactly as she had left—visible, protected, and openly theirs. No one in the pack looked away. No one questioned it. The first order of business was Lila. They found her still locked in the lower cells, thinner and sharper-eyed than before. When the door opened and she saw Selene walking in between the three Alphas, something bitter twisted across her face. Kael spoke without preamble. “Thorne is dead. The ritual failed. The war is over.” Lila’s throat moved. “And me?” Ronan’s voice was flat. “You have two choices. Swear loyalty to Nightfall and to its Luna—meaning her—or leave pack lands before nightfall and never return. If you are seen again without permission, you will be treated as an enemy.” Darius added, almost gently, “Choose carefully. We already buried one traitor.” Lila looked at Selene for a long moment. Whatever calculation she ran behind her eyes ended in a small, defeated nod. “I swear.” They left her under watch to be processed by the pack’s lower ranks. She was no longer a threat worth their personal attention. That night the private chamber felt different. The constant edge of incoming war was gone. In its place was something heavier and quieter—relief, exhaustion, and a hunger that had been postponed too many times. The three Alphas undressed Selene slowly. Ronan kissed every fading bruise and small cut left from the final battle. Kael traced the nearly invisible remnant of the old rejection mark with cold, precise fingers, as if confirming it was truly gone. Darius simply dropped to his knees and pressed his face between her thighs, breathing her in like he had been starving for the quiet version of her. They took their time. Ronan sat on the edge of the bed and guided her down onto him. The slow stretch pulled a soft, shared sound from both of them. Kael stayed behind her, chest to her back, one hand gently wrapped around her throat, the other stroking her c**t with patient, devastating circles. Darius stood beside them and let her take him into her mouth, fingers sliding into her silver hair. Without the urgency of war, the competition became deeper and more deliberate. Every thrust, every stroke, every low word was focused on drawing the longest, strongest reactions from her. When she came the first time, it was with a trembling cry that made all three of them groan. They switched positions without rushing. Kael took her next, eyes locked on hers, moving with controlled intensity while Ronan and Darius touched and kissed every part of her they could reach. Darius finished the first round by bending her forward and driving into her with long, steady strokes until she shattered again between them. Afterward they stayed tangled in the center of the bed, Selene warm and thoroughly claimed in the middle of her three Alphas. Kael’s voice was quiet against her hair. “The pack will need time to settle. There are still scattered enemies and empty territories to deal with.” Ronan’s arm tightened around her waist. “Later. Tonight is for this.” Darius pressed a slow kiss to the back of her neck. “Tonight is for reminding you that the war is over… and we still have no intention of sharing you with the rest of the world.” Selene closed her eyes between them, body heavy, heart steady. The full moon had come and gone. The male who had rejected her was dead. The bonds held. For the first time since the night she had been cast out, the future felt wide open—and she would not walk into it alone. Morning light spilled across the bed in soft gold. Selene woke slowly, warm and sore in the best way. Ronan’s heavy arm was still locked around her waist from behind. Kael lay on her other side, one hand resting over her stomach as if even in sleep he needed the contact. Darius had migrated lower during the night and now slept with his head pillowed on her thigh, golden eyes closed, breathing deep and even. For a long time she simply lay there and listened to them breathe. No horns. No distant howls of incoming attack. No ritual clawing at the bonds inside her. Only the quiet, steady presence of the three males who had refused to let her go. Kael woke first. Frost-pale eyes opened and immediately found her face. Without a word he leaned in and kissed her—slow, deep, and thorough, as if he had all the time in the world. The shift in the bed woke the other two. Ronan’s arm tightened and his mouth found the back of her neck. Darius turned his head and pressed an open-mouthed kiss to the soft skin of her inner thigh, then higher. They took her again in the morning light. There was no urgency of war this time, only deliberate, competitive hunger. Ronan pulled her on top of him first and guided her down onto his c**k with both hands on her hips. The slow stretch pulled a shared groan from both of them. Kael moved behind her, chest to her back, one hand gently circling her throat while the other reached down to stroke her c**t in perfect rhythm with every rise and fall of her body. Darius knelt beside them and offered himself to her mouth, fingers sliding into her silver hair with open possession. They watched her. They watched each other. They adjusted every touch to pull longer, stronger reactions than the last man had managed. Selene came first, trembling and crying out around Darius. Ronan followed soon after, gripping her hard and pouring into her with a low, drawn-out sound. They switched without hurry. Kael lifted her, turned her to face him, and thrust up into her while Ronan and Darius flanked her with mouths and hands—kissing her, sucking marks into her breasts, stroking every sensitive place they could reach. When she shattered again, Kael finished deep inside her, eyes locked on hers the entire time. Darius took her last. He laid her on her back, spread her thighs, and pushed into her with long, powerful strokes while the other two held her open and kissed every broken sound from her lips. She came a third time under the morning sun before he finally let go. Afterward they stayed in the bed longer than they ever had during the war. No one reached for weapons or maps. Kael traced idle patterns on her bare shoulder. Ronan nuzzled the top of her head. Darius rested his cheek against her stomach and simply breathed her in. Eventually the pack required their presence. They dressed her themselves again—slower now, with more lingering touches and quiet kisses against her skin. When they finally left the chamber, they walked into the main hall together. The high-ranking warriors and elders were already assembled. Conversations died as the three Alphas and their shared Luna entered. Kael spoke first, voice carrying cleanly through the hall. “The war is over. Thorne is dead. The ritual is broken. Nightfall stands.” A low murmur of approval moved through the crowd. Ronan added, “Any remaining enemies who step onto our land will be given one chance to leave. After that, they die.” Darius’s golden eyes swept the room. “And our Luna remains exactly where she is—claimed by all three of us. That will not change.” No one argued. Elder after elder stepped forward to offer formal acknowledgment. Warriors slammed fists over their hearts. The pack that had once whispered about the strangeness of a shared Luna now accepted it as fact and strength. Selene felt the shift in the air like a physical thing. She was no longer the discarded female who had arrived broken and hopeless. She was Nightfall’s Luna—recognized, protected, and desired by the three most powerful males in the territory. Later that afternoon the four of them walked the high walls together. The forest beyond looked the same, but the weight of constant threat had lifted. Scouts reported only scattered remnants of Ironfang and Redclaw moving farther away. No new alliances. No fresh armies gathering. Kael stopped at the northern tower and looked out over the trees. “There will be smaller challenges. Empty territories to claim. Old grudges. But the large war is finished.” Ronan stood behind Selene and wrapped both arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. “Good. I’m tired of sharing your attention with dying males.” Darius leaned against the stone on her other side and smiled, slow and heated. “I’m not tired of sharing you with these two. But I am looking forward to weeks without interruption.” Selene leaned back into Ronan’s chest and felt Kael’s fingers brush hers on one side and Darius’s on the other. The three bonds inside her pulsed in quiet, perfect sync. The rejection that had once defined her was nothing but a faded scar. In its place was something far stronger—chosen, claimed, and held by three ruthless Alphas who had gone to war for her and won. That night they did not leave the chamber at all. They took her slowly, thoroughly, and repeatedly—sometimes one at a time, sometimes all three together—until the only sounds in the room were soft moans, low possessive words, and the steady rhythm of bodies moving under the moonlight. Every climax was a quiet declaration. Every lingering kiss was a promise. By the time exhaustion finally pulled them under, Selene lay in the center of the big bed, surrounded, marked, and more certain of her place than she had ever been in her life. Outside, Nightfall stood strong and unchallenged. Inside, three Alphas and their shared Luna began the long, unbroken peace they had paid for in blood. The war was over. The claiming was not.
