Forbidden Dream

Ric Pov "RICCARDO!" my father yelled. I rolled my eyes as I sat back in my office chair and took a sip of my scotch. "What is it old man," I huffed. "You need to stay away from the woman," "What woman," I was playing stupid but I knew who he meant. One of my men must have gone off and snitched. For their sake, they better not let me find out who it was. "She is our enemy, and I demand her head for killing Benito," my father hissed. I sat there with no expression on my face. "You can't possibly choose her over your own family." "Then don't make me have to choose," I said bluntly. "How dare you?" I grinned at his remark. "Old man, I am not in the mood, she will be dealt with and who knows soon you might be calling her family too," my father chuckled and it annoyed me even more. "That is forbidden, for so many reasons but no one will accept it," my father replied. "They don't have to accept it," I said. "It will be what it will be." "You son of a-," "Boss," Luca interrupted. "What is it?" I answered. "Your meeting?" "Aw, yes, get the car ready," "Where are you going?" my father inquired. "A meeting," I replied simply. "You're going to see her," "Leave it alone, old man," "I will not have you bring shame to our family," "You can go to hell, I am the boss, I am the capo, now leave," my father huffed out of my office. I took another sip of my drink and headed out. How does it feel to treat me like you do When you've laid your hands upon me And told me who you are I thought I was mistaken I thought I heard your words Tell me How do I feel tell me now How do I feel The music was loud. Not my taste in music but it wasn't unbearable. It was a mix of rock and techno style if I ever heard the sound. I glanced around the room and dancing in the middle of the room was my angel. Her hands above her head, her body swaying from side to side. She looked free and wild. She was wearing a tight green dress and killer heels. I meant that literally. She could probably stab someone with that heel. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Hey," "Hi," she said softly. "So, I didn't know this was your scene," "Well, you don't really know anything about me," she said. "So tell me," "Tell you what," "Anything?" I pleaded. "ORGY," "Excuse me," I grinned. "Orgy, it's the name of the band playing right now, I love this song," she said. "Interesting, and here I thought you wanted to play," "Oh, if you want I can grab a few friends," she smiled. "Oh, I don't want to share," "I know," she wrapped her arms around my neck and danced closer to me. Rosa began to kiss my neck and I got lost in the pure bliss of her touch. "Shameful," I looked behind me and saw my father and a few of his guards with him. "What the hell," "I told you not to see her," Rosa let go of me and walked a few steps back. "I told you to leave me be," "If you won't take care of her, I will," my father said. I see a red door and I want it painted black. No colors anymore, I want them to turn black. I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes. I see a line of cars and they're all painted black. With flowers and my love both never to come back. I see people turn their heads and quickly look away. Like a newborn baby, it just happens every day. "ROSA!" I shouted as the men took out their guns. She had already taken cover and pulled out her own weapon. Damn, I didn't even feel it on her or see it popping out of her slim figure. Shots were being fired from both sides. I pulled my father to the side and hid him behind a sofa. "Tell them to stop," "NO!" my father shouted. "She will die tonight." I look inside myself and see my heart is black. I see my red door and must have it painted black. Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts It's not easy facin' up when your whole world is black. "ROSA!" she was trying to wound but not kill my men. I was grateful for that but I knew she wouldn't last long. Suddenly, a few men dressed in all black came in and began shooting everywhere and everyone in sight. Rosa shot up and took out another gun. She was shooting past my men and directly at the men in black. "Get out of here Ric, and take your father with you," she said. I didn't listen and I don't know if I should have thinking back. I took out my gun and went towards Rosa. I stood beside her and shot at the men coming towards us. "You i***t, they are here for you," she shouted. "LEAVE!" "No," I said. I took a strong stance and stood by the woman I loved and stared death in the face. "Riccardo!" I heard my father shout. He got up and I wanted to tell him to run but it all happened so fast. One of the men turned to face him. He shot my father three times. It only took one shot to the head to bring the murder down in return. I looked at Rosa, somehow she was just as pissed as I was. She walked closer to the murder and shot him five more times even though he was already dead. "Get your father out of here," she said. I ran to my father and grabbed him. My men came over and helped. "Jax, you ready," I heard Rosa say. Suddenly, shots were being fired from outside. "A sniper?" I thought. My forbidden dream was shattered. My father was dead. I don't remember anything else that happened that night but I had grown cold and heartless. I was going to be out for blood for those who dared to hurt my family and think they would get away with it again.
