My eyes widened as I saw Alpha Damian standing behind the door. Panic set in—what was I going to tell him? How could I possibly explain this situation?
My gaze shifted to Becky, who wore a sly smirk on her face. Could she have been the one who informed Alpha Damian that we weren’t around? I wasn’t wrong when I felt someone watching me when I got into Jarl's car—it was Becky.
"Where did you people go?" Alpha Damian asked, his tone so plain that I couldn’t tell if he was angry or not. His expression was completely emotionless, giving no clue as to what he might be thinking.
I realized then that the triplets must have inherited this trait from him—they were also masters at hiding their emotions, especially Zev.
"They went to a party," Becky answered for us.
