Dee looked at me lovingly me from across the room.
I had longed for a family of my own for the longest time. But I tried my best to hide these emotions from Dee, especially now that I knew she would do absolutely anything for me.
“You didn't have to do that!” I whispered softly, but she heard me.
“Pfft! Please, it's nothing. You're my best girl. My mum understands that, that's why she suggested I make you stay” she said, twisting her hands nervously.
“Ha! I knew you two were up to something. So, Mama Dee has the persuasive spirit too” I joked, winking at her teasingly.
“Who do you think I got it from?” She sighed wearily, flopping down on the bed.
