Chapter 8They settled into a routine surprisingly quickly; one that felt comfortable and well-worn, for all it was only a few weeks old. It so happened that Vincent and Eiji rose at roughly the same time, and so more often than not they breakfasted together, conversation light and easy over their food. Then Eiji would go for a ride or a walk, sometimes with Vincent tagging along, sometimes on his own. They dined together for the noon meal as well, equally as informal as their breakfast, and then Eiji would disappear into the study to wrangle their books, emerging only for supper at dusk.
