I stared around, unable to reconcile my thoughts about what was going on. The reception hall was impressive, a wooden curved staircase leading to the upper floor. The right hand wall was dominated by bookcases whilst the left hand wall had several doorways.
"This way, " Danny gestured towards the first doorway and I entered kitchen area.
There were two men sat at the island at the centre of the room. They looked up directly at me and again I experienced the strange memory update I had when I first saw Danny. It was as if the information and recollections had always been in a far away, daydreamy part of my mind, but their physical presence brought them all crashing into my head.
The first guy looked much the same age as me. He was dressed in clothes that would have been appropriate for foraging in the woods, but somehow managed to make them look sexy. His eyes gleamed brown green and as I stared straight into them I felt overcome by attraction and longing. He got to his feet, engulfed me in a hug, and spun me round so fast I giggled and clung to him, giddy.
"Will," I breathed, unwilling to let go of him. He carefully moved the hair from my face, gazing down at me.
"Welcome home, Princess."
"Home?" I looked around me, confused. Should I remember this house too? Nothing was coming back or looking familiar.
Seeing my agitation, Danny stepped forward and put a hand on my shoulder.
"He just means we're all going to be based here for a while. Don't worry, it's new to all of us."
I half smiled at Danny, trying to get everything straight in my head. How could I stay here and for how long? I had a job to get home to, a husband and a daughter who needed me. All of this was very exciting but at the end of it I still had to go home and live my normal life.
"And you remember Talon?"
My gaze shifted to the other man, still seated and avoiding meeting my eyes.
"Sure. Hi," I managed with a small weak smile. I had a feeling there were more memories of this man to come, but at the moment he just made me feel a little bit sick. He looked up at me, still sitting at the island.
"Hello Skye. Is this going to be a problem?"
I couldn't reconcile this person with the other two guys. I didn't like him and I was a little bit scared of him.
"Er, no it's all ok."
Talon gave me a sickly grin.
"Great we're all good then."
I wondered what we were doing here and when I would see my family again.
Danny spoke: "I think we should have a look at the bedrooms, this is enough for tonight.
We followed him upstairs. "This is your room, Kiddo."
My room was first and had a dressing room and ensuite. I retreated into the room and sat on the huge bed thinking of the things that could influence my situation.
Closing my eyes, I decided to ignore everything that was going on and just go to sleep.
