CHAPTER FORTY ONE Avery had to wait a lot longer than usual at the South Bay Corrections house to see Randall. “What’s the hold-up?” she kept asking. The woman behind the gates gave her the same pat answer. “Someone will be with you in a minute.” Avery skimmed through a few current magazines to keep herself occupied.
